Why don't you just get a freedom unlimited card for your AU then transfer points to the Reserve?
It's what I do, super easy

If you and your AU will travel separately at times and think you both could make use of lounge access and rental car insurance, it would make sense for you to pay the additional fee for AU.
Other than the very unique circumstance above, what GenesChin said is the best strategy to go with. This is what we do as well. It keeps things simple for the SO where she does not have to think about bonus cats and what not and we can transfer points to my reserve account.

Well, I have my SO as an AU so she can charge all her purchases on the card as well. When I made the statement that "we charge everything," we really charge "everything" on the card and pay the balance off every month. So, in my case the Freedom strategy seems like it won't serve the purpose of maximizing points on the Reserve card if I were to give my SO a separate card.

Why not? Instead of charging it on the Reserve she would charge it on the Freedom. And you would use the Reserve. She gets 1.5x on everything so she'll earn more points than you because yours only earns 1x on everything, unless you are at a restaurant or for travel (3x for those). I am assuming you both are together most of the time when eating out or travelling so you can always use your reserve on those circumstances.

Yep. Due to 5/24, my wife has Reserve and Freedom Unlimited and I don't. So I just have her pay this stuff when we're out together. I look like a deadbeat sometimes

Ahh, I see now why y'all are suggesting both. I thought the Reserve produced the best residual award points. One more questions, if I'm traveling with the family, can all of us get access to the airport lounges, or just the card holder? Same question as well for the TSA pre check-in perk??

The Reserve comes with guest privileges for the Priority Pass lounges, however, how many is determined by the specific lounge, which is fair enough when you consider overcrowding.

The $100 Global Entry perk can only be used once every 5 years.

Just add - that technically you can bring in any number of family plus 3 guests. Which works as you would expect in most cases. But sometimes lounges will restrict access due to overcrowding.
In the last 3 years I have never been denied access. But I have heard it happens quite often. Been a bit lucky here.

Pumped about getting this card.
Icing on the cake that I get the AF waived.

Trying to figure out my next move. Definitely planning to get the 60k Barclay JetBlue bonus, was intending to get the IHG card with 100k or 80k bonus but those offers aren’t available anymore. I’m not a hardcore churner and I’m at 4/24 with the CSR and CSP so far this year, was thinking of going with the United MPE in preparation for a Europe trip in Spring 2017 or more likely 2018.

Is there a card that will buy Airline miles?
I have miles on Delta, Southwest, American Airline, and Spirit and would love to consolidate these miles into one card

Probably a little late to plan a Spring 2017 vacation.

How'd you get the Amex Platinum fees waived? I've got some big purchases coming up and was thinking about getting a new card to max out the bonuses, and have been wondering about the Platinum but the AF is pretty hefty to me. I have the Sapphire Preferred and I feel like most of the perks overlap so I'm not sure if the fee is worth it even considering it'd probably be a wash first year with the bonus.

Active duty orders.
If you use the Uber and airline credits that effectively drops it to 150.

I would recommend the Ink Preferred for 80K UR. It is a business card but you can get it no problem even if you dont have a business.

The chase ink card will probably be my third card just for the office supply/gas points scheme. Not sure when I add that one though.

My wife and I currently have the Chase Marriot rewards card with 90 k points on it. It is the only card we have. We very seldom fly, but use hotels several times a year. What card or cards would you guys recommend us getting? Hopefully something we can transfer these points to and with a big bonus. TIA

I think you're asking something that doesn't exist. The only way to really trade miles to other programs is if they have agreements in place to do so. Outside of that, you have to go black market which can get your accounts shut down.
