I think I am screwing myself. I rack up at least $15k per month on my Chase Card. Sometimes I double that but $15K seems to be the minimum. I currently have nearly 300K points which is equal to $3K in Amazon credit. Wonder if there is a better card out there for me?

I use it mostly to pay for materials for jobs I manage in multiple states when the contractors aren't using my Home Depot account.

Man, your situation is a churner's dream. You could do so much with $15k of natural spend.

At absolute minimum you should replace your Chase Amazon card with the Citi Double Cash or a similar card. This will give you unlimited 2% cash back on everything. You could really rack up if you ever decide to get into the rewards game though..

If you have a CSR, it is a minimum of $4,500 in travel, if booked at best bargains closer to $8-9,000

Can you pay your home depot account off with a gift card?

If you had a Chase Ink and just bought Home Depot GCs at an office supply store for $50k/year = 250k points

I have a Chase Amazon card that I use occasionally but my primary card is a Chase Freedom.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I have 4 local crews who I have given Citibank cards to and that is an additional $2500 per month give or take. Those cards/that account has zero rewards attached to it, though. Sucks.

I know I am leaving money on the table so I am asking for advice.

Not sure. I would imagine it's possible but seems like a PITA.

Ya your volume might make the GC thing impractical.

You should most definitely get your crew on a rewards card.

Chase Ink Business Preferred has a high bonus rumored going to 100k. Get that and your crews AU cards off that. Get Chase Sapphire Reserve before March 12 at a branch for another 100k.

Then go from there.

After reading a good bit in this thread, I applied for the Sapphire Preferred and Freedom. How long does it take for points to show up after making charges?

I got the Preferred, Freedom Unlimited, and the Freedom. They track your points as you make purchases. Just click on the card, go to the Ultimate Rewards portal and it keeps a running total of what you are getting in points before your statement.

I just got a letter in the mail that Amex is going to do a platinum card thats metal and give out $200/year in Uber credits in the form of $15/mo worth of free uber. Of course the card fee is rising to $550 or $600 a year I fogot. Might have to drop the amex even though its my favorite card, this is getting ridiculous.

They appear to be making a concerted effort to weed out churners. It is probably a net positive change for the majority of customers they are going after for that card.

It's just honestly man a credit card is a credit card, its a median to not have to carry cash with you. Obviously I love my amex bc they are the best at chargebacks and have an incredible fraud department. On the otherhand lots of merchants dont take it, and my home base houston, the amex lounge is in terminal D which is the international terminal thus I never get to go in it. So to me paying so much for the card is silly. I have had the centurion invite and declined it bc its $7500 in year one, I have the JP Morgan Reserve Card I posted earlier and its $450/year and has a $300 travel credit with no limits. The amex you're limited on what airline you can use the $200 on, you have to pick it and stick with it through the year.

I love amex but its getting silly to pay $50/mo to use my own money, The new perks are nominal at best for me bc I dont really uber much. The last amex lounge I used in miami was so overcrowded they were apologizing to people bc there was nowhere to sit, yes the food is good, and yes free drinks are nice if you travel alot, but you get free drinks in first class too. The lounges are swamped with people from the ones ive seen in miami and vegas. It's not really a relaxing experience with long lines to get food or drinks.

The JP Morgan Reserve Card is $450 and you have a direct number an american answers when you call, Amex you still have to wait a little before you get someone and then often times its someone in india or asia with a tough to understand accent. I get it, they're cheaper, not blaming amex just saying that Chase for their best customers, its no wait and all americans. It's tough to see the amex costing more than the JP Morgan Reserve card now, its just not worth it imo. My reserve card lets me in pretty much every lounge but the amex one, so you're not limited on that front either.

I'd definitely headed to a Chase bank tomorrow to sign up for the CSR before it ends. We use the capital one venture card for all our purchases but this 100k bonus may be too much to pass up.

I'd get rid of this. It is essentially a 2% cash back card paying $59 a year for the privilege. Their marketing is pretty good, but you can get 2% cash back with no annual fee now so you are losing $59 every year for no reason. Just a heads up.

And yes, it would be ridiculous to pass up hundreds of dollars in free money.

Man, we got the card a few years ago and I just haven't been keeping up with CC. I have that one, my marriott card, the free hotel night more than covers the $89 fee and my united card because thats who i fly. I'm debating kicking that one to the curb. I'll have to see what sort of benefits i get with this reserve.

Need help with an Avios booking.

I am wanting to use Avios to fly to OGG on 1/28/18. There is milesaaver availibility on the aa.com site.

When I try to book on ba.com, my last leg (LAX to OGG) says no availibility. It is a MileSaaver flight on aa.com. Any suggestions?
