Question for all you Citi Prestige card holders.
My annual fee is fast approaching and I am not planning on keeping the card, as great of a card its been (got to play some sweet golf courses and use the admirals club weekly).
I have a bunch of Thankyou points ~75k that I'm not planning on using anytime soon either.
Any thoughts/advice on transferring the points to partners or what I should do with the points so I don't lose them when I close the card out?

Is it pretty easy to move around credit limits between cards with chase? I've got the CSP and CSR with way higher limits than I need, and I just got the freedom unlimited since I've got some purchases coming up to take advantage of the 0% interest for 15 months, but my limit is really low on the freedom.

Just call in and say you want to try out hte Freedom on an upcoming "Big purchase" and ask to move CL from a different card

They did it for me without even asking

Does the lounge access that comes with the CSR allow me to bring a guest, my wife specifically

Yes. I've used this feature three times, and all three times I was able to bring my wife with me.

You get 60 days after you close the card. You can always do what I did with my remaining and buy a gift card if worse comes to worse but I only had a few thousand. Try to book travel first if you can with AA and get GC's for whatever is left. There's plenty on their site to browse for ideas.

Question for the experts. I am at 4/24 for Chase after getting the CSR a few weeks ago. I have been trying to figure out what to do next. I received in the mail what I assume is a targeted offer for Ink business preferred. 80K UR and waived annual fee first year. I do not have a business, but I think I can swing it with the sole proprietorship route that I have read about..
Anyway, my plan was to wait until it's been 30 days from getting my CSR, and then apply for 2 Chase cards at the same time to get to 6/24. I am sure many of you have read about and know about this loophole. I am trying to figure out what my strategy should be with this new Ink Business preferred offer. I have read that business cards do not count toward 5/24, but that you cannot get them once you are at or past 5/24.
So if I apply for Ink Business preferred and, say Chase southwest premier, at the same time, I believe I would I still be at 5/24. Should I try and get 3 Chase cards in the same day? At this point I think I am going to apply for the Ink business preferred by itself next month, and then try the 2 personal cards in a day trick in March.. would love to hear some other thoughts/advice though.

I presently have a vacation budget of around $3k per year for the wife and I. I don't travel much at all for work any more but that can always change.
Should I consider CSR?

Add a couple of hotel cards to the CSR's and you'll be able to increase your budget. From what I've read, for value I like the IHG. Others like Hyatt and SPG, which own more upscale hotels.

Haha well I've never had an actual credit card but have excellent credit due to paying off stuff early over the past 10 years.
So here comes the first dumb question:
How do I get my hands on two CSRs you mentioned? And how does that equate to $3000 toward travel?

Both you and your wife would apply for one. If you spend $4,000 in the first 3 months of holding the card then you'll receive 100,000 UR points from Chase, which are worth 1.5 cents per point = $1,500.
However, the online offer for the points ends tomorrow. After that the bonus is dropped to 50,000 points or $750.
You CAN STILL RECEIVE the big 100k bonus IN BRANCH. I had this confirmed today. The lady said I can get the 100k in branch ANY TIME.

Ok that makes sense. So in order to get $3k toward travel we would need to spend $8k together in three months. Probably not going to happen. I still might apply for it by 1/12 and see what happens.
ETA my mortgage is through Chase and I'm ahead on that. Do you think they would consider that? Even though I've never had a credit card?

You can achieve the $8k easier than you think.
And yes, you CAN pay your mortgage through something called Plastiq. Look that up as well.
They charge a fee, but they will mail the mortgage company a check after you fund them with your credit card.
You can probably use Plastiq for all of your bills.

Chase has new Amazon Prime card that gives 5% cash back with no annual fee for Prime members. Obviously, it's not a card you would want to apply for, but I will likely convert my CSP to it

Personally, I would get the old ink (Ink Business Preferred) that gives 5x on Office Stores. The new one is good for a slightly higher sign-up bonus but the old one has the potential to easily make up for the difference.
Don't forget Chase's 2/30 rule. My strategy would be to get the business card first, then 30 days later, 2 apps (maybe for SW cards for companion pass). Now since you are at 4/24 already there are no guarantees you will get both of them. But should get 1 (+ the ink ofcourse).
