Luckily I only have 3 chase cards so I am eligible for the new Reserve card. My plan is to lower my credit lines, downgrade the CSP, and then get the new one. Can I do that all this week and then apply for the new card next week?

At this point, I would do one of two things:
1) Lower credit lines now, then apply in a month. You are under 5/24 so you are in no rush to "get in" so to speak.
2) If you want to apply right away, then I would leave my CLs as is and apply. If it goes to pending, then call recon to move available CLs around.
Remember: Minimum income needs to be at least 60K. Ideally, CL extended to you through Chase should be no more than 50% of your income.
Downgrading the CSP has nothing to do with CSR. You can do so at any point in time as long as it is before the AF posts.
LHR has nothing to do with carrier added YQ. You are talking about the departure fee that is unavoidable. Carrier added YQ is avoidable. You can actually get an exact amount of what you can expect to pay before booking a ticket if you plug your itinerary into iata matrix. Click on your fare and look at the fare breakdown. The carrier added YQ part is avoidable if you know how. If you don't avoid it, that is how much you pay for that when flying through programs that pass it down (for ex: KE does and UA doesn't). All the government added taxes is what you have to pay no matter what. So add all that up and you will have the cash portion of your award.

Ok. Is it because of going through LHR? Or you don't really know until you call to book a trip?

Thanks. No issues with minimum income. I want to get the card asap so I can work towards the bonus and use the points for vacation this fall.

Looks like the Chase Sapphire Reserve application page is up. LINK
No mention of the 100k bonus on that page though. I may wait until the link with the bonus comes around.

Which airline lounges does Sapphire Reserve get you into?

I have a question regarding cancelling or downgrading an american express card. I am trying to cancel/downgrade my premier rewards gold card. It is my longest open line with AMEX. Should I downgrade to a no fee card or just cancel it? If I downgrade to a no fee card would I get the sign up bonus?

Its pretty much confirmed that the card will come with a 100K bonus. People have called in and SM'd to confirm this repeatedly.
5/24 is solidly enforced.
I didn't waste a HP on a Chase app. Instead I got the OBC, DiscoverIt miles and US bank FlexPerks card. Now I think I am going to sit on the sidelines. Ink+, OBC, DiscoverIt and FlexPerks should keep me busy for 24 months

I'm looking at making a decent sized purchase in the coming months. I am thinking of applying for ink business and CSR. My question is do you know if I can use two different cards for one purchase through the chase portal in order to knock out the spend on both cards?

Huh? Is this a good card?
I'm in a rough spot, I have an open spot on Aug 27, but I have a business trip I would need it for that I leave for Sept 1

3% cb on ALL purchases for the first year? I can easily MS at under 0.7% online. So it makes sense for me.

Does the 5/24 mean you can only have 5 Chase cards, or does it mean you can only open 5 in the past 24 months?
I have 4 so I'm good either way. 2 of my 4 were opened over 24 months ago

Applied 30 mins ago online. 8/24 got instantly approved with 33k credit limit. I'm pretty shocked but

How is the FlexPerks redemption process?

All online MS? Is this something I can find out with a little google or your own way?

5 credit card accounts of any type in 24 months.

So you should have 3 open slots

gc.com through tcb or yazing. no secret. $2457x2 purchases per day. 6.95$ activation fee per card and $7.95 shipping fee per $2457.
Not all online. I still have to liquidate at WM and deposit in bank across the street.

What were the 8 cards? Business cards except Chase and Cap One don't count. Store cards don't count. AmEx doesn't count if in the past couple of months.
Basically - best use is for flights.
$0-$400 (flight price) = Flat 20K points
$401-$800 = Flat 40K points and so on
