I would get (and I did) both SPG Personal and Biz cards. Since you can only get 1 AmEx credit card a day, precedence for SPG. 78K SPG points (after meeting spend) can = at least ~100K miles for any airline (20K SPG transfer to 25K airline miles). If you really want Delta points so much (i dont see why you would unless you're in a Delta hub or have status), you could transfer SPG points out to Delta. Again, unless you have a specific DL redemption in mind, go for the SPG(s). Especially due to the upcoming merger. This will also put you 40% toward Gold status with SPG.

I either use these for Cat 2-4 stays (2K-10K points/night plus 5th night free) or transfer them out to Airlines that have limited other partnerships. Like AA, AS, JAL. Needless to say, I value SPG points very highly, right up there with Chase UR.

Remember - you can get 1 credit card and 1 charge card a day with AmEx and they will only use 1 hard pull. Use someone's referral

I've mentioned this before but for those who already have the SPG card with a lower offer, call in or chat request a match. I got 5K through chat and I got my SPG @ 30K in August.

Do they ask you any business questions when you apply for the biz card? I am kind of skeptical of that.

I will probably just get a personal one for my wife.

Yes, they do. They are meant for small business. Just need to know how to fill out the app w/o lying.

Still, a lot of people don't feel comfortable with that so it is understandable.

Why why why...you're only asking for trouble. This is not within the rules. Highly discourage you to do this. Just take a nice vacation. Your points are worth at least $600 in cash or $725 in airfare. Buy someone a flight worth around that with your points and ask them to reimburse you in cash.

"Credit card gurus" != scammers.

Just tried to chat them to get a match. The CSR wouldn't do it. So I'm stuck with the 25k bonus from my application last month.

Is it possible to refer someone to the business card if I have the personal card only?

Did you ask for the manager? If not, call again and do that. They may even give you 1K at first, nicely decline and try to get the manager on the line.

I don't have the business card but I'm pretty sure that it would not be possible. If you open your referral link you'll see the personal card pop up. No way to change that to the business card at least as far as I know.

If so, you could try NWB.

What is NWB?

I'm down to one known spot in Laffy and some a-hole knows it too apparently.

And they are closing the Winn Dixie.

I will probably switch to online, maybe try LC mall?, but I need a $400 GC to use for mortgage MO or I'm going to have to *gasp* use my real debit card.

I could recommend a couple things if you are just trying to pay your mortgage. What volume are you looking to do?

NWB = Nationwide Buxx.

Pay mortgage and truck note using CC methods, ~2k, hopefully less than 2%. Current method, VCG to MO is at 1.2%.

It seems like Serve accounts where loads aren't being used for bill pay or immediately transferred out are slipping through the cracks, thinking about doing 3k a month in a sort of Serve savings

I've been churning through cards, albeit more slowly, for about a year and a half. With so much of the news being negative over the last 6 months I figure its time to get as much as i can while i can.

I am assuming you are able to pay these bills through a debit card?

If so - look into getting the PP business debit card (PPBDC). You can load these using PP my cash cards (PPMC) bought at CVS. $500 a day. I use this method to pay my Citi CC bills. I hit it hard though until I get closed down. PP is no use to me otherwise. For me it is a matter of when not if. I don't think you need to worry about closure in your scenario but YMMV. Avoid ACHs and don't keep a large balance on your account.

Alot of warnings about PP out there. Not worried about getting shut down w/o access to funds?

Not so much because I make sure I don't leave more money in there that I can afford to live without for at least 6 months. You should do the same.

That said, at your volume and use of funds, I doubt you will be shutdown. But tread carefully as, again, YMMV.

There a difference between buying new cards vs reloading the one you have? As far as raising suspicion with PP?

I/E is it better to have one reloadable continue using it?

All CVS accept CC? Majority? Very YMMV?

There is no evidence of that. PP sucks at customer service so idc really.
However, you cannot laod one PPMC with more than $500 in a day and also anecdotal evidence that suggest you do no more than 2x$500 in a day. I just do $500 in a day in order to not overdo it. CVS is on my way back from work so I just do $500 everyday. Since I only do $500, I reuse my same PPMC card because it eliminates the possibility of fraud*. Once you use the PIN to top-up your PP account the first time the PIN is associated with your account. After this, when the cashier loads your PPMC card at CVS, the money goes directly to your PP account. Pretty convenient. Since it is so convenient, I expect I will get shut down pretty quick

*There has been cases of fraud where perps copy the pin on an unused card and attach it to there card. From then on, whenever you load your PPMC card it goes directly to their account. So that is why the first time I loaded my PPMC card I only did $20 to make sure it is associated with my account before anything else.

So yes - I think, it is better to reuse than buy new.

Very YMMV. Although not hardcoded.

First time I didn't call the status line. I had to fight the urge.

My wife will be happy I'm not running Staples gift cards through our "joint" Ink credit card anymore. Me too for that matter.

I'll forget I owe it $1,500-$2,000 since I don't check it or use it for anything else until she pleasantly reminds me. Then I'm 2 grand poorer than I thought I was.

Hopefully I don't have to do any MS to meet minimum spends. I'll have to get a new game plan/routine. I already have a Paypal Biz debit card. I'm guessing I'll try that route if needed.

I think we must've applied around the same time

I finally got the approval email yesterday too

May need some help with spend as I'm going for the SPG biz as well so I need to drop $10k. Suggestions welcomed as I do still have the Serve and I have about $3k already spent.
