Yes ofcourse I have. But never booked using awards or cash. Its always been a system wide upgrade as EP on AA. I never seem to have enough points to fly whenever and wherever I want to in J or F. I usually book for 2 people and I regularly fly long hauls in coach (usually a deep discount fare code). Although premium cabins are nice, they are not a necessity for me even though I am 6'2". But trust me - I take enough advantage of the miles/points "game" haha

Certain ones, yes...However, it appears my go to OTR is now Exxon and not Chevron. This may be part of the issue.

I've only scaled up Forced me to go deep into my arsenal and use some not so easy strategies. Still can't find cheap pajama points though :(

Not sure what Afro has but I have one Freedom and use my Old Blue. I then will use Discover.

I've mainly been doing the MO route and just recently was gonna try Serve but I'm surprised I haven't run into Afro at a gas station or drug store and then we could just walk to our favorite grocery store.

I have 1 freedom and one discover too. Aka I just need 6. Shouldn't eat too much into anyone's stash.

No. I'm going the serve route for now, but going to change up my spend a bit and start using the Serve to swipe on small things. Maybe $50/month on it. Might help/might not.

1 Freedom for my wife and 1 for me.

No worries. I'll try to knock it out in the next couple weeks and I'll fill you in.

Surprised your Serve is still functioning. One of the lucky few I guess. From what I know, it won't last long. I'd maximize the $5k as much as I can. Which could maybe lead you to get that $3k on freedom and discover out of the way quick and fill us in

Ya, my wife never used her Bluebird account from back in 2013 or whatever so I think she could get an account if they have blocks up on me.

I sure would like to open making UR points again but also don't feel like MOing.

cmlsu, Teddy Ruxpin, LSUAfro :

What are yall's travel habits usually like? What is a typical year? Do you usually redeem on premium cabins for long hauls or domestic? Always fly on awards or $$ too? Just curious.

Started in 2013, after I had been working for 2 years and my now wife started her career.

1 International trip a year, with 3 - 5 domestics for weddings and family visits.

Redeemed for my first premium cabin this past month to Thailand, so I'll probably keep doing that

I awarded out a bunch of domestic flights via Southwest cards and Chase UR, but I'm going to stop doing that. I had so many damn weddings. Now that we're firmly becoming flush with cash, I'll pay out of pocket for domestics unless the price is stupid.

Nice! In fact I was in Thailand this December as well for a week. 2 days in Bangkok at the St. Regis and 6 at the Conrad Koh Samui. Also had a week in India. Paid for the flight with cash. Cheap ticket on CA, credit miles to UA. Had 3 other trips throughout the year including a week at the Grand Hyatt Kauai!

I just earned my SW CP and status matched to AS MVP 75K. So next two years are sorted. Just booked 4 days in Aruba and 4 in Cabo.

Nearly always premium cabins on awards but I do purchase some tickets. 3-4 Caribbean trips a year and Europe every other year right now.

I'll fly coach if I don't have a choice but I hate passing that curtain.
