I mean, you can simply pay the Citi card from the Citigold if you have already met the billpay criteria and never touch the cash in hand.
I just like to mix it up a bit so it isn't too obvious what I'm doing. Especially with 60k miles on the line. I doubt it matters though. I'm just doing it since I'm already standing at the ATM doing Visa Buxx and I'd rather deposit $600 cash instead of $200 to feel like I'm doing something worthwhile.
And ya, AA is really pissing me off. I can't even burn BA on multi leg trips let alone one segment trips.
We'll see what happens when I want to do South America or something.

And here's a reason you always always sign up for the FF account.
My wife wants to go to Vegas for a concert. April date return on SW on Sunday was all messed up and nothing looked good on other airlines. However, a date in Feb worked but I didn't like the 15,000 points to return from Vegas on Sunday.
I check Delta and they had a 12,500 mile flight on Sunday that works for us. My wife has 22,000 miles on delta from a trip to India that flew on KLM back in 2013. Love it

Being "diversified" in your points portfolio is a very under appreciated aspect of the game.
Also, for those lurkers that might be interested...Delta/American/United opened up bookings for the weekend of LSU/Wiscy in Green Bay. Might be worth looking in to booking award space if available as those will probably be full flights from Louisiana airports. Southwest hasn't released schedule for that time yet, but they do fly in to Milwaukee which is about an hour or so away.

Yeah, they're even worse for the same dates right now. I have 80k miles with United I will use on a Euro trip as they are good for those awards. But I really, really hate UA.

On that link Afro posted the guys shows the next screen after clicking "different funding source" as creating a PIN, but I went to "Your Citibank account is processing" or something like that. I feel like I got the PIN screen but it didn't do anything anyways as they sent me a default PIN in the mail.
I've just liquidated the 2 $500 GCs I bought to reach the $1,000 debit transaction threshold. Now I'm just waiting for November to roll around for my bill pays in that month to go through and that's it for me.

I did look.
I saw where some Visa's would have been. $200 tab was on the rack for helping workers to place them correctly. But the racks were bare.
But I haven't seen $200 Visas in there for quite some time, so no telling if they are just being raided by some a-hole, never stocked to begin with, or very few put out.

So my wife got the 100k/3k Amex platinum offer in the mail a couple of months ago. We just applied for it last week and got the card. I go to the mail box today and she has another 100k/3k offer. Is it possible to apply again?

Simply put. No.
Amex's policy is you can receive the bonus on a personal card once per lifetime. Yes, seriously, even if you had the card 10 years ago.
Business cards through Amex do not have this rule however.
