It's looking like I will be traveling quite a bit for work coming up in the next few months, so I was looking at which airline I should go with and set up an account?
For those that know such things for business travelers, I think you may need to provide your home airport and expected destinations.

Houston - IAH
Will be mostly domestic travel as far as the business travel. But I'd like to get miles for personal vacations to SEA/Japan and Europe.

Bump.
My opinion is shite because I'm not a business traveler, but here is my very vanilla read.
While United sucks you are in a United hub, so that may be who you have to go with.
In other news, even though I'm still awaiting my Global Entey interview, the known travel ID got me precheck for my flight this weekend.

Im more interested in saving up miles for personal use internationally than my actual business domestic flights.
My first flight (which I'm taking tomorrow to Seattle) was set up through US Airways (Are they American Airlines?) because I didnt have anything set up on my end.
Should I stick with them in the future or are there better options I should set up an account with for future flights/longterm.

USAir and American Airlines points are now the same. They have been merged into one account.

alright so i applied for the Chase Freedom then cleared my cookies and applied for CSP. they both said they needed to be reviewed for approval. wonder how long it takes for that?

Like Teddy said, United is your daddy.

For some reason I don't think Chase likes 2 personal apps in the same day. I'll have to check FlyerTalk but it seems like I read that there.

Ya he may be able to call recon and sweet talk his way in since they are pretty related products.
But if you have to choose one choose the Sapphire Preferred, but that should be obvious

That's great you have that many but what do you do about 80+ cards annual fees?
I had to get rid of my AMEX cards because I couldn't justify the annual fee anymore. I could get it back in rewards, sure, but $450 is just too much.
Right now I am just rolling with my CSP and a few other older cards that I just keep bc of the age of account.
Probably will start looking at airline cards soon (DIA is my homeport)

Update:
Called the Recon dept. Explained to him my reasons for wanting both cards....He immediately approved me for the CSP. However, he said I was declined for the Freedom card due to too many accounts open. I had forgotten about an old Slate card I had gotten but never used.
I asked if the line of credit on the Slate card could just be transferred to the Freedom card.
Boom Done!
so Now im the proud owner of the ultimate rewards combo!

Cancel and sign up again a few years later

Pretty much what Teddy said...The vast majority of annual fees are waived for the first year. After that, I cancel most of the cards. Some (like the Citi AA), I'll call up and get the annual fee waived when it posts to keep the card for the perks.
Pretty much the only annual fees I pay are the ones that give annual bonuses that I value more than the annual fee - e.g. US Air 10,000 mile annual bonus, Hyatt.IHG free night, etc.

Global entry is well worth the money you pay for it. Last trip I was through customs and on my way to my next flight in 10 minutes.

Ya, only reason I didn't have it before was there wasn't an interview office here until this past November.

I asked about using the Square app to reach credit card sign up bonuses the other day.
I tried it out and it looks like it worked for me. Just got a message from Square saying that the transaction would be deposited into my bank account within 2 days. I literally paid myself $1k.
If anyone wants to try it out... heres a link for zero fees for the 1st $1k in swipes. LINK

I tried to find an answer in 100 or so pages before I gave up, so sorry if this has already been discussed.
I just started a new business. I have pretty much 0 business credit, but very good personal credit. I'm trying to find a business credit card that will give rewards or cash back (I pay my balance in full every month).
I frequently shop at Home Depot, Lowes, Builders Supply stores, etc.
I'd prob put around 5k/month on the card (Or whatever my credit limit allows me).
If anybody has a suggestion for me on a specific card, I'd very much appreciate it.
Thanks.

I'm scheduled for June 2. No worries Buckeye. This flight Friday is a short hop to Florida for a wedding.
