It's gonna give you about 12% at these prices on 4/31. $2.00 per share annually.
Many here have been buying, holding, and reinvesting dividends on this one for years now.
Considering this nearly five year chart, CIM is holding up fairly well, and presents a great buying opportunity in the 15s (or lower)
As you can see below, CIM (blue) has outperformed the Vanguard REIT ETF (VNQ, yellow) and one of the other popular high dividend reits (NLY, orange).

The chart says 11.96%
Since I first bought it over two years ago it has fluctuated between 10.5 and 9.5%
.50 per quarter has been steady for a few years. Was .48 before that.

CIM
May be a dangerous play considering the current refinancing boon and their exposure to residential loans. The spread they are making should shrink considerably

Just added 200 shares at $15.55/share. It immediately dropped LOL but not by too much. I like buying at any price point in the $15 - 16 range.

I believe they announced a 150 million stock buy back today.

I bought recently at $21 and again in the $15's, and watching it today hurts my heart.

I need someone smarter than me to tell me what changed in the last 24 hours for this to drop 15% today with the Dow virtually unchanged?

Share buyback is bad? they think this will cut into the dividend?

They announced the buy back last Friday, and there has been fairly heavy insider buys since then.
You’ve got upper management buying over 100k shares at a time.

All of this would point to shares going up, not down.

The "bottom" just fell out again

Anyone have info what's going on here?
This stock has been stable for a long time and down 37% today.
I'm buying but I almost feel like I'm using my cash as toilet paper now.
