I've been watching and doing the same. Still big in O&G, added a chunk more Friday, but dialing back into cash and have already taken profits from big tech wins. Getting like 5.3% in my money market account.

Nice edit. You could’ve just made another post instead of rambling on about something that has no comparison to the average investor anyway.

But sure, compare the measly money people are using to trade that post here to the hundreds of billions Buffett manages.. if you read him talking about stocks being too high, you also read that he’s been shedding stocks for over a year now and missed the all time highs everything hit since then. Buffet is preparing his fortune for a recession, you are talking about trying to outpace index’s. His “timing the market” isn’t about buying and selling “dips” and “rips”. Its a tad bit bigger scale than what anyone on here is looking it.

2024: $276.9B

From $30 - $40 Billion a decade or so ago to $276 Billion now.
He used to be pretty much fully invested & the $30 Billion or so was primarily there as a necessary emergency fund for Geico in case of a historic Hurricane/Earthquake.

Yikes is right.
If Thursday & Friday didn't wake up the normies then maybe The Oracle will.

Buffett has been getting into Chubb $CB

Yahoo: Over the past three quarters, Berkshire Hathaway has bought shares of Chubb (NYSE: CB) stock hand over fist and kept its buying confidential for two quarters. Berkshire owns 26 million shares of the insurer as of March 31, worth roughly $7.2 billion today.

This could be right. But he’s been hoarding cash for a long time now.

Because of a sale of an asset that represented 3/4 of my wealth, and the multi-year payout associated with it, I am heavily in “cash”, or at least will be as the payments are made. I just received one, which I did not deploy, and I have another due later this month. I am accidentally deploying Buffet’s strategy!
