I've been strongly against the cruise line stocks lately but the hype around CCL over the past couple days convinced me to take a chance. Now I'm down a good bit.

I knew I should've never touched them with a 10' pole and now I have nobody but myself to blame. Anyone else lost money on them today?

What was your reasoning for buying it at that price? You saw it was up like 25% right? You probably had FOMO, it happens to everyone. Either sell for a loss, learn from your mistake, and move on; or hold and wait for it eventually to go back up to your buy point. Could be tomorrow, could be a year from now

RCL up 14% today, been watching them but just can't commit to buying given what they are facing.

Yep, I wanted in on the action and paid the price. I wish I could just stick to my instinct on things like this

I'm genuinely curious why you jumped in this morning. Wasn't CCL opening $2+ over yesterday's closing? Did you really expect it to take off today or this week? Not that I haven't been watching CCL, RCL, and NCLH. I'm waiting for them to bottom out again and if that doesn't happen then oh well.

I bought some yesterday at 9.99 and sold it all today at 11.68.

Yeah. You already had a nice 2500 Dow bounce at the start of this morning going back to close on Friday afternoon.

I did the exact opposite. I had a buy order for 2,000 shares of SDOW ready to submit this morning at $36.14 that I was going to flip at $40 but I held off. Been kicking myself all day long for not clicking the damned mouse.

As a trade or a long term hold?

But either way, I don't see it as the end of the world... unless it completely falls out of bed from here. For example (only), you could sell Apr. 17 $12.5 calls for about .90 as of today's closing price.

With the outrageous IV on this hand grenade (200%+), I might be tempted to do some option plays on it myself. But you need to have a plan on ANY trade *before* you make the trade.

I sold CCL today. It's very hard to make money buying stocks on days they are up 25%

You should have touched them with a 10’ pole a week ago. It’ll come up, but a slow move up for sure. Let it ride if you can.

I bought a few shares earlier. Might grab more on the next dip.

I'm not looking to make money flipping stocks - I'm buying at long term lows for the long haul.
