support level

You say that as if there is any rhyme or reason why it should be 100k vs $1.
Bitcoin has no value other than what the next sucker is willing to pay for it.

It’s a volatile asset, but I think you would be a fool not to have one percent of your portfolio in it.

If it doesn’t regain the 50 SMA around 102K then the 100 SMA is in a strong uptrend at 82 K. Under that there is strong support in the 75-80K range

Price is irrelevant. Tether stopped printing tether bucks recently. They can manipulate the price up and down as they need to free up liquidity on these exchanges.

Once new bag holders come into the system im sure tether will mint a few billion to start the cycle over again

Can you tell the difference between a $20 bill and a $5 bill in the dark?

Well the price was fairly extended after a nice run up so it was bound to move back towards support. Nothing goes up forever but I wouldn’t bet against bitcoin over the long term and I say that as someone who just trades it and owns zero right now

Bookmarked. It's always funny seeing these posts on the dips and in the bear market.

There is no fiscally sound reason to own crypto that I have ever found.

Have not participated in crypto to date, and will not ever be a serious crypto investor, but am considering trading it a little at these levels. Some good analysts believe bitcoin will exceed $150k in 2026. I am a real estate investor and have sold buildings and land at prices that I would never pay myself. I make money because others are willing to pay the price. I see a similar opportunity here. I don't think bitcoin is worth $150k, but believe others will. So it feels like a profitable trade at current levels.

Makes no sense for it to drop in the current environment.

So what was the impetus for the price run up and what’s changed?
