If your military or the dependent of someone who is military I would go with USAA!

I would not use a company that has less than an A+ AM Best rating. Additionally, it depends on what type of Life insurance your wanting. There are some great term insurance companies out there with mediocre permanent products and visa versa.

Yeah same here. The wife has been nagging the shite out of me to get a policy since our son was born. I am thinking a 30yr term.

I've been quoted $58.00 per month for 20 year term life, $1 million policy, through Lincoln Financial.

what about state farm?
I have never looked at them. They were always considerably higher on property and auto insurance, so I excluded them from my search.

You can also contact me if you would like. I work at a well known company, largest life insurer in the US, that didn't accept any TARP money.

We have Protective Life ... had it through Farm Bureau but got a better deal on a great company ... have 20 year term but couldn't tell you the premium .. we pay yearly and then forget about it.
We got it through Edward Jones by the way.

Ok, obviously the right thing to do here is speak with an agent and allow them to quote you their best policy possible - if you want to be truly thrifty compare this rate with another agent/company.
That is the only way to truly find what you believe to be "best."

Shop online from life insurance agencies that offer you free life insurance quotes. You will not only get the best deals, but also be able to get life insurance quotes from the most reputed life insurance companies. However, you must make sure that the website is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. A good life insurance agency should be able to furnish financial information and track records of the life insurance carriers on its database. It should also provide you with their ratings. Look for ratings of A or higher (the highest being A++). A good life insurance carrier should carry a rating from reputed rating companies like A.M, Moody’s, Finch or Standard and Poor, etc. Make sure that these ratings are current and have been updated recently.
