What’s up with BMY share buyback and then shelf offering?

There's some good commentary on AUPH StockTwits page about it.

She's getting gutted today. Added 50 @ $18.50

So BMY just spent the cash they would have used to buy AUPH?

I have my core position and started buying puts to add swing shares. Have 1 put at $18 expiring on Friday and 2 at $15. Keep a nice premium if it does not hit price and buy at a nice discount if it does. The $18 dollar put has a $189 premium so would be buying at 16.11 if it is assigned on Friday. I just bought a $15 put for January that has a $134 premium. Hope it does not get that low but if it does I will be buying for $13.66. CC's and puts have been very good to me at reducing my average cost. Now holding 1000 shares with cost basis of $2.04 per share.

440k shares traded in the last 10 min before the bell. That was a lot of volume relative to the rest of the day. And I may be grasping at straws, but ARNA dipped about 9% last Friday before being bought out by Pfizer yesterday.

Just keep buying or do what our smart friend Jerry is doing.

For the life of me I can’t understand why the market can’t wake up to the facts.
Scripts are should look stellar in Q4 with A2 data.

For what it’s worth I hope you’re right.
1:1 with BMY right now looks like a great option!

And the random surges and collapses continue. Did we announce we stopped selling the drug or something today to trigger this run up?

Is she actually on the board? Stocktwits seems to be a mess over the topic right now.

I can't tell if it's really bad or good.

She’s on the board as a Director according to the website.

Yeah not sure why people are saying she's just a director not a board of director? Everything i see clearly labels her as on the board as well.

Why is this bad?

All I can find is insider purchase means no buyout for at least a month...?

Maybe it’s not bad. Her last purchase was at rock bottom in the 10s.
She’s bullish at $20

She’s an independent director who purchased two days before the deadline for the quarter.

I’ll take it as bullish.

It's not bad, at all. A handful of reasons could lead to the purchase, tax liability for one. It is also one person. If a handful of BODs were making moves, then I'd be more suspicious. One person buying 1,600 shares should not have moved the AH needle by ~4%.

As OKJR has said a few times, we move inversely to the news (outside of P3 & BO rumors; but we are back to where we started prior to those drops.)

Not sure where it came from, but a couple of people seemed to think that you can't have a buyout within 30 days of an insider buying shares

I could understand if we were still at $30!

Buyout is far from priced in, as is A2 data!
If the sector can rebound we are 25-30.

It's going to suck if these 1600 shares stop the stock from rallying with XBI

Why is going on today? Overall market in the tank. Yet, AUPH, BCRX, NVTA, CFMS All up between 7 and 10%!
