How is Roku sustainable long term? with most TV's having YOUTubetv, netflix, prime already built in? i own roku sticks and love them but what will keep them going 2 - 5 years from now? Is this a long term hold?

Probably people like me. I don’t care how smart my tv is, I’m plugging a roku into it. It’s just such a great interface

Roku works great. I have 1 that’s at least 5 years old and works like brand new. Few tech items can say the same that cost $20

Steaming is still only 27%:
8% Netflix $NFLX
6% YouTube $GOOG
3% Hulu
2% Prime Video $AMZN
2% Disney+ $DIS
8% Other small platforms $AAPL

We're still in the early innings of the transition from linear to on-demand.

ROKU stands to benefit like no other from this. ROKU didn’t have to be the winner here but they are well on their way, kudos to them. I see no reason to believe they won’t be a behemoth sooner than later as long as revenue keeps exploding like it has

8/4 earnings is going to be a big deal

I’ll hold mine you buy/sell
I guarantee I’ll make more money.

if you trade options, ROKU premiums are insane and you could work the edges there

one last thing...I expect that NFLX for example will always be the larger and more culturally relevant company. ROKU will just be more profitable and thus a better investment

Best interface and usability by FAR

Since most TVs have gone away from Roku preinstalled it seems … could be a possible acquisition target down the line

Or

They just keep winning as the OTT and streaming platforms battle it out and continue to build the best infrastructure/ interface GUI to navigate between them all

ROKU is building a moat as the best developer of those operating systems you speak of that are built into TV’s. They aren’t just the sellers of roku sticks and devices
