I’m not familiar with etrade’s platform, but lots of places will let you place a market order before the market is open.

That being said, some places will require limit orders for some stocks like pennies.

Additional information regarding order type availability and functionality for OTC equity security orders can be found at etrade.com. Yeah. TDAmeritrade won't allow me to place a market order until the market is open. Also won't let me place a market order on OTC or Pink Sheets. Have to put a limit order.

Yea I can place market orders for other stocks right now. This restriction is only for OTC stocks I guess.

This is most likely a stupid question but I’m new to TDA. CRYBF is at 0 bid and 0 ask but chart is around .22.

TDA won’t let me do market buy on OTC so what’s strategy on this to grab it if it’s at 0? Set a limit above its current rate and hope it goes through?

Thanks for helping a long time lurker and thanks AT for bringing back the thread!

OK. Y’all please do your own research on this play.

Largo Resources. LGORF.

They are a vanadium miner that recently invested in a new business unit to make VRFB Batteries. These batteries will be critical in the deployment of green energy as they are able to safely store and distribute power in the peaks and valleys of green power. Unlike other battery tech companies, Largo is already a business entity being one of the larger vanadium miners in the world.

In an effort to gain financing for this move, Largo will call a shareholder vote in March to push for a US stock listing. LINK. Once US investors get wind of another green battery play, I expect it to jump.

I watch CNBC religiously. Some older guy mentioned this as a value play and it jumped the day he was on and has been flat ever since. Vanadium looks like it could be the play to beat lithium and other techs in the green utility storage space while lithium will be the tech in the consumer space. I see this as a longer term play on that space.

Good luck.

I was wondering the same thing. I just put in a limit order above the last trading amount. Hope it goes through.
