I'm tapped out of biotechs right now. Holding onto to two while waiting for FDA approval. Sold one the other day (PGNX).
What's the reason for the increase?

I'm not sure to be honest. I bought in to both in late November
I know somewhat recently some clinical trials were approved
I'm guessing part of the rise has to do with some clinical trials being approved but both have still been on a meteoric uptick since that was news in mid December.

I would think that a lot of it is speculation on the upside if they can prove to be effective with cancer treatments.
I don't believe they use similar technologies but Juno Theraputics (NASDAQ:JUNO) is up 90% YTD as well.
ETA: Looks like the Juno situation was more likely due to an acquisition event and is completely unrelated to this. I don't own any JUNO so haven't been paying that close of attention.

as far as biotechs go, I've been pretty deep in smallcap superstars lately.
AKER and BPMX have been very good to me and I think will continue to be so.

I really should have brought it to the board when I initially started accumulating but I know this board and it's position on penny type of plays
as always I would proceed with caution, but the charting and momentum look good

Many of the small cap biotech’s are up. M&A activity is anticipated after JUNO was bought out. Good luck.

I'm not in heavy enough for it to hurt or help me in any big meaningful way but I'm enjoying the ride for now
