I used to be more into computers, programming, technology and the emerging open source community in the late 90s/early 00s. I read the Linus Torvald biography when it came out. He created the Linux kernel for those unfamiliar with his name. Here is a link to the book on Amazon. It's an interesting book for people who are into that stuff. His book was published in Mid 2002 which was just coming off the dot com bubble.
One of the more interesting things I read in the book was his commentary on the access he was given to IPOs before the public for organizations that built their business model around Linux. Here is a story I found from the NY Post regarding one of them - Transmeta. And there are many more stories where the IPOs without any good reason went crazy once the public had access. Redhat was another.

Because everyone’s money is tied up in PEW.

No kidding. The amount of capital FIG could have raised versus the actual market cap by end of day. If I was on the executive team, I would be furious with the IB guidance. You want it to pop some...but you don't want to leave 250% on the table.

Aren’t you locked into your shares for a certain amount of time

That's a good question. I don't know. I would think so but I am not too familiar with how all of that works.

This stock will be a mess for a while. When I looked at it my first thought was this is perfectly positioned for an Adobe buyout. By the second article I learned the IPO was the result of a failed Adobe buyout, and it’s now its worth far more than their offer.
You’re in a pretty tough place when you need to shed value in order to eventually pair with your destiny.

I also got one share at $33. I don’t believe your buddy got more than 1. I can’t find anyone who got more than one through Robinhood

I requested 2 shares and got 2 shares, which is barely more than 1.
My kid put in for 4 but was awarded 1
Sold same day @ $103
There is a limit on how many IPOs you can sign up for and sell in like a 6 month period before you get put in timeout.
