AMC Closing Stock Price Question

AMC holders need AMC to close above $9 today so that all options finish in the money.
If the price of a stock is dictated by the active bids and asks during a trading period, and all these recent retail AMC stock holders are buying and holding their shares taking them off the market, then can’t the hedge funds just perform short ladders by trading amongst themselves back and forth and drive the price down below $9 at close?

Bought some at the close for the hell of it. Etrade has been spinning after confirmation for 5 minutes now so it better go through. Added 50% to my Nokia position as well.

So realistically, Monday is when we will see a pop on this?
