I'm 28, plan on it when I'm 30. Will put 20% down.
Am I doing it wrong?
I'm 29 and also planning on buying in the next year or so and putting 20% down.
My situation was that I knew I'd be moving after being in Atlanta for 6-7 years so we didn't want to buy there. Wanted to wait until we were settled.

About to buy a house and thought about putting 20% down but I got a great iR. I have the money to put 20 but I would rather have that money in a bank instead

Built a home last year at 24.
Used a USDA RD loan so 0% down.
Not planning on going anywhere for a long time, so using the home as an investment doesn't mean much to me.

About to build in the near future, will be 29 by the time it finishes but will be our long term house if everything goes as expected.
