It seems like there have been several instances when Burrow has handed to CEH and the defense (LB especially) sells out early on CEH and Burrow could run for days. Hoping they let Joe keep a few in the upcoming games but maybe they are too worried about him trying to truck a LB if he starts running.

I’ve been saying to my friends all year we will see Burrow keep it more vs the big dogs!

Russell Wilson does this in the NFL all the time I’m designed runs them in a big moment in the game he pulls it out and runs it and is open every time.

The key is to not do it often but do it when it matters. There hasn’t been a moment in the season yet where you needed that big play but it is in the bag if needed.

Oftentimes he’s reading the short side safety to see if he’s filling for the run and opening up the slant behind him.
If he stays back, it’s a give.

They try to minimize his hits against weaker opponents. If needed, they will do it.

DING DING DING.
Key third down and like 6-8 yards to go late in the game. They're expecting a slant and bam you hit them with that. Wide open.

He keeps it when he needs too. Kind of lulls the Defense to sleep and then gashes you with a fuggin dagger!!!! 30-40 yards worth of dagger!!

We’ve also added the P into the RPO, so these plays usually have a a third element that wasn’t part of the zone read last year. The receivers are feasting so we’re seeing him either hand it or throw the quick slant. State was attempting to drop the ends to cut off the slants this weekend, if we see other teams try that I think we see more keeps in the future.

Out of certain personnel it might not be a read. Might be automatic give......
