I think this play was a good example of what's going on with Nuss. Thomas has everyone beat for an easy TD. Nuss puts zero body into the throw. The Ole Miss safety is breaking towards Thomas after realizing the CB was just blown up. Nuss's pass looks like a shanked punt, but Thomas reacts and cuts back towards the middle of the field to run under the ball. The safety is left spinning in a circle and is unable to make a play, even though the ball is just floating.

Last year's Nuss would probably have led Thomas for an essay catch and TD.

The La Tech interception, the ball to Hilton in the endzone that was 10 yards short, this throw…it’s abundantly clear he is hurting this team.

If you don’t think MVB can come in and help this offense even a little bit you are smoking crack

It probably should have been called back. Green ran into Thomas’ defender on the play, which is what allowed him to get open.

Imagine our stats and the final score had that play been nullified as it could have been.

Nuss completed only 20 out of 44 deep balls in 2024. He’s always been a below average deep ball passer.

Nuss career rushing yards is negative 120. -120 yards. Just saw this on ESPN and cracked up.

I posted something about this a couple weeks ago. His average rush was around -3 at the time. He is not playmaker at all.

If he knows he's hurt, he should bench himself to help the team.

He probably would have missed him but overthrown him.

Nuss has never been an accurate deep passer. It has gone from bad to really bad with his injury issue.

And you cant play QB in college football hell even the NFL and have stone feet. Nuss is a relic. The offensive line needs to be really good at pass blocking for him to work.

But lets assume he is injured. If you care about this season at all...you have to put the more mobile QB in at least some. If that wrinkle isnt working then ok you tried something. But if it does work.....what matters to BK. A title...or loyalty to a sinking bus?
