Three kickers that deserve kudos for much of our success.
Often overlooked, but all three play an important role and congrats to them for being TIGERS.

Atkins recovered a fumble that helped set up an LSU score. Kudos to all 3 guys!

Believe he is a pretty good athlete and played receiver and defensive back in addition to kicking in high school.

Add Josh Growden and his pooch punting. Had a great one he pinned inside the 5 yesterday.

THIS. Growden doesnt have a strong leg, but he is very accurate with his punting inside of 20 yards.

It's a bit comical how specialized they all are.

We have two punters and two kickers that get meaningful snaps.

That’s the advantage of having a huge roster in college. In the NFL with the 53-man roster, it’s extremely rare to even have a specialized kickoff guy.

I wonder how Tracy’s kickoffs would be, might be a factor if he makes an NFL team.

A solid special teams unit is so important. LSU would have had at least 1-2 more games each of the last 5+ years with this unit.

Yeah, but it’s all about results. Remember how bad our special teams were after Peveto 2.0 two years ago?

I wonder how Atkins is for FGs. Guess he'll compare with the freshman next year.
