Mettenberger was phenomenal, though

Why did it take him till THAT game to show what he could really do???? If he has a game like that against FLA...................... No telling what could have happened. And YES I am still pissed at Copeland for his stupid PF on a drive we should have scored a TD on.. We were toying with them at that point.........

I am not one to bash coaching, after all its the players that are on the field. But outside of Copeland's screw up, everything else was poor choices by the staff. The longest FG attempt you kick? The shorter more makeable one you fake, and it was a obvious poor fake too. You could see it coming a mile away. Bama adjusted before the play and LSU still ran it. All of that being said, if the defense just makes a stop its over. It is what it is, I won't pile on Miles he admitted the mistakes and took blame for them. I can live with that. It pisses me off but I can live with it.

that one hurt real bad...I traveled from NC to see that game...it was an unbelievable venue, perfect weather...and we had Bama beat

Heck we outplayed them and were the better team on that day...one play cost us the game...

well, actually the play calling on how we closed the Bama game and the Clemson game cost us wins we had in the bag

Thanks a fricking lot, I just got finished with about 2 hours of footage from the UC Irvine 2008 game, to the Bluegrass Miracle to the Auburn game in 2007 clips and so on haha. The only reason I stopped is because my computer is dying.

It was his best game as a tiger by far. I feel it was the only time that the staff turned him loose and he delivered. I think that if he would have been given the chance that he would have gotten us that last first down.

Agreed. The future is bright for LSU football. Much different now than when I was a student there. 89-93.

Everything depends on the O-line.

I was never prouder of out team in that game. Except for that one play we out played the gumps the whole game. The lose is due to coaching. However this year if we don't do better in the red zone it will be a LONG season. After that loss, we played so-so the rest of the season. Even thought Clemson had a good team , I cannot believe we lost the bowl game.

Mett will be fine. While I love Landry and Beckham they aren't #1 receivers. It's hard to hit guys under 6'0" down field.
