Yes.

Also, PM said that the Dodgers never even talked to Ross before drafting him.

You got just about nothing right in this response

Lee, not Ross. What else did I get wrong?

There is a difference of opinions amongst posters that is not explained at all. I do not know what is being assumed by either.

from the way I read it, the key is the phrase "college players". He could show up at LSU, play football one or two years then enter the MLB draft (as long as he didn't play baseball).

or he could attend summer school, drop out and get re-drafted next year.

I would feel kinda bad for the kid if the team showed no interest and no want to negotiate at all, and just "punted" the pick as I saw in another thread. Then again, I would love to see him in purple and gold.

If that what happens, I'm sure the Dodgers picked him thinking that he had no intention to sign. In other words, the fact that he labeled himself as the toughest sign in the draft would have put him in that position.

Yeah, that cleared it up...not. Nothing worse than a google cop who can't answer the question.

He has until August 15th regardless of whether or not he enrolls at LSU during the Summer.

That's just for this season. There's more to the discussion.

You remind me of my 4 year old. Except he completes a thought.

Fwiw, the deadline this year is the 16th. I wouldn't want to jinx anything with a premature celebration on the 15th and then hear about him walking out of football practice the next day and signing with the Dodgers.

Actually, it is correct. He won't be 21 until after his Junior season on college.

No, He has until August 15th.

I am not a lawyer but from the way I interpret what the policy says, it sounds like if he is a full time student this semester he is locked in. Regardless, he knows that to have a shot of winning the starting job at QB he needs to be on campus getting familiar with the players and the play book. I was wondering if that is why the coaches basically held Garrett out of the spring game. To make the depth chart look manageable. From what he saw of the starter, I am quite sure that he thought he could do better. Not knocking Jordan but he had a very poor day.

What does that have to do with his birthday?

He'll turn 21 mid-way in September of his Junior year. Meaning he's not draft eligible until The June draft after his Junior season.

I have, and he's confirmed that I'm right, and that your rhetoric is homo-ish.
