Your Yearly Reminder that LSU's Endowment is Very Low

LSU is more than just an outlet for sports for you to cheer/donate to; it is the flagship university for the state of Louisiana. I wish more of our alumni saw it that way.
Google has LSU's endowment as $845 million but, that number includes the entire system. According to the LSU Foundation, the endowment for LSU Baton Rouge is $455.7 million as of June 30, 2017. That is pitifully low, especially as compared to the rest of the SEC.
Giving to the endowment isn't just for those of us who are OT rich; every little bit helps. You can go to the LSU Foundation Page to donate. The cool part is that your donation(s) count towards your TAF points. I urge every LSU fan, especial you alum out there, to give a little back to the university that has given you so much.

I really should have expected that. Judging by the responses (lack of) and the upvote to downvote ratio, I imagine most of the people here don't really care about LSU, or do not understand was an endowment does.

There is just a general lack of pride in Louisiana and it affects the universities. I saw it in Lafayette and I've seen it here. Students leaving trash all over campus buildings, shite attendance at non-football games, lack of donations, etc.

I would assume Techdawg2007 went to Tech, which would explain why he doesn't care about the endowment.

Some do. When I donate, it's for the dual purpose of getting TAF points as well as giving back. I send my little bit towards the endowment.
