Rein, Andolsek, Pontiff, and Redden deaths were all tragedies

Losing to Kentucky after a 30+ point lead at halftime, and realizing that Dale Brown couldn't coach, that was dead puppy sad.

Against all odds win at Arizona St.

First home game after Katrina.

Having to Wait forever to finally have that wonderful distraction we call Tiger football.

Playing for the State and New Orleans.

21-0 at half.

Meltdown.

I sat in the stands and just stared. I've never wanted to cry so bad at an LSU game. That was beyond heartbreaking. Then that piece of shite QB threw the football into the student section after the game. What I would've given to be 5 feet from that douche with a baseball bat at that moment. I was so beyond livid when he did that.

seems the consensus among "older" tiger fans (im only 26 but watched all through the 90s) was that dreaded Jamie Howard pick 6 game. Wasn't Auburn ranked #1 or something at the time to? How do we blow that lead!!! Jamie Howard made Jarret Lee look like Matt Flynn that day. That was beyond digusating and depressing

Sitting in Tiger Stadium in the 80s, weather in the teens with high winds, watching Miss. State & John Bond drop half a hundred on us.

2007 Arkansas.

From the end of the Notre Dame game...I knew they had the team to come back and win the MNC. I spent all summer dreaming of watching them hoist the trophy. This game hurt like no other.

Losing to the hillbilly's on Monday night after Katrina. I was already depressed, thought Les Miles was a buffoon, and hated Fulmer. It was a trifecta clusterfrick.

Auburn loss, J. Howard 1st
Arkansas 07, 2nd.
Tennessee Katrina, 3rd.
Miami beatdown 88, 4th.
Final Four loss to Indiana, 5th.
Tulane loss to Rock ?, QB, 6th.
Probably more but can't remember.
But the happy times outweigh the sad by far.

There is nothing sadder that I can remember (related to LSU sports) than seeing my mother tear up as the game ended. We both thought the season was over and couldn't bear to say a word.

1998 CWS. Poised for the 3 Peat after winning first two games, only to have Southern Cal beat us twice to knock us out of the series.

November 6th 1999 LSU Vs Bama, we lost 23-17 on my birthday, i turned 10 and I cried because I thought we lost because of me.

I was 50, not 10, and its the most depressed I've ever been after an LSU sporting defeat. Had been in the band in '69, the last time we had beat them in BR and thought we had wrapped this one up to win one more in the 20th century in BR. Then we get burned x 2 on pass D and its over.

Didn't read the responses, but mine is when I was 11 years old and the previous week I had listened on the radio as LSU beat #7 Florida State 55-21 and oranges were tossed on the field.

The next week I listened to LSU lose to Tulane 31-28 and literally cried. 11 years old, LSU football, listening on radio, crying. Saddest Moment.

uh, the 1999 game was at Alabama. We lost when booty tried to run the ball in instead of throwing to a wide open receiver. the alabama defender who made the tackle blew out his knee making the tackle, and we couldn't ever get another play off. We won the next year in Baton Rouge with Booty playing the game of his life. 1998 is when we were leading by two scores in baton rouge in the 4th quarter and blew it.

Arkansas beating LSU in 2007. That national championship season was over...

...and we were going to lose our coach. Thanks, Herbie.

I was crushed after that game. Little did I know that a week later the heavens would shine down, the angels would sing, the stars would align, and well, you get the point.

Arky was bad in '07, but I can still remember watching Pitt pull that miracle. Each minute that passed I thought the dream had to end somehow, just as it did a few days before, against Arkansas. My friends and I had been drinking all night and when the clock finally hit 0 on the "backyard brawl" you couldnt find a dry spot in the house. I'm pretty sure we ruined that place permanently with the liquid celebration we threw.

Thank you Pitt. <3

come to think of it, and as much as i HATE arkansas, i have to give the 50-48 loss in TS as the saddest moment as a tiger fan.

While the jamie howard pick 6 game did suck bad... we werent in a national title hunt

everyone thought for sure we blew it that night, on national TV. ignoring what Pitt... losing to arkansas has to be the saddest moment

2nd would have to be the UT loss after katrina. up 21-0 at halftime, have Ainge throwing pick 6s in his own endzone, and then we watch Clausen Out route us to a win, then lose in overtime. Pretty sad time for a tiger fan. I remember, cause i was there. Watching all the frat boys and sorority girls leaving in the 2nd quarter was fricking painful too. bandwagon social fricks
