Hmm, let’s see, what do these guys have in common?

Buddy, anyone picking Casanova in front of Mathieu or Peterson is “otherwise motivated”. The greatest era of LSU sports is 2000 to the present. It is an era dominated by black players. You list four and not one is black.

Burrow and Cannon are definitely 1 and 2. Dorsey is three because he was great, and he won a natty. Mathieu and Peterson are next. I like Peterson more, but I would not argue with TM7.

Mt. Rushmore's get tougher with time. You almost need a pre-1980 one and post...or one per century.

But if you must do one, start with the names that are no-brainers, which would be Heisman winners.

Cannon
Burrow

After that LSU has one 3 time All American who played both ways and returned kicks/punts
Casanova

One player has been the runner up for the Heisman - Stovall
Two running backs were highly decorated - Charlie Alexander and Kevin Faulk
Three defenders were highly decorated - Dorsey, Patrick Peterson and Ty Mattieu.

Pick any of those for #4 and you'd have a decent argument.
And even then, you are leaving off all time greats like Tittle, Taylor, Bert, Hodson, Leonard, Devin, etc etc etc.

You freakin rocket surgeons ever hear of Josh Reed? He was only the greatest WR in LSU history.

They have to be under 21 years old.

With all due respect, I think Dorsey on that mountain before Stovall

Have to agree with this. I don’t know of any other player who embodied what LSU is quite like Glenn Dorsey.

TM7 was suspended indefinitely. Only thing that keeps him off.

Perhaps LaRon Landry deserves a spot.

My first three spots are without any doubt:
Cannon
Burrow
TM7
Really torn on the fourth spot between Casanova and Faulk.

See I think
Cannon
Casanova
Burrow

Are locks. The 4th is hard. But no one has mentioned Hodson - he was the lone bright spot in a truly dark age.

fricking idiots and their race cards...

The man's allowed to have his opinion and because his opinion isn't in line with yours doesn't make him a racist.

up until 3 months ago, he was the second best player to ever wear purple and gold. I assume cannon is first but I'll have to trust the old timers.

I'm not giving cannon the benefit of the doubt vs burrow

Burrow
Cannon
Tm7
I guess faulk
