I'm talking actual attendance here. The stadium seats about what? 110,000. So I say 65,000 Tiger fans, 25,000 TCU fans. Wont even sell out.
You're only off by 30,000.

There are TONS of tickets available here, at very reasonable costs, especially on the TCU side of things.
I have a demo center that my predecessor installed in far southwest Fort Worth by Lockheed. Dumbest thing I've ever seen. Anyone who knows DFW knows that about 95% of Dallas residents will never venture past Arlington, and Fort Worth people think a trip to Arlington is like planning to go out-of-town. I still think Tiger fans hit between 65% - 70%. There are probably as many Tiger fans in the DFW area as there are TCU fans.

Sorry. Thought it was bigger. Heard one time that it was over 100,000. Guess they were wrong and so am I.

The size varies depending on setup. After the Super Bowl they made it smaller due to so many with obstructed views.

I just bought tickets, and it would've been easier to get four together on TCU side versus LSU, but plenty tickets around.
So I bet about 50/50

Less than 500 upper deck tickets left on LSU side on StubHub.
Few more than that in upper deck on TCU side.
TCU campus is 15 miles from Jerryworld, so my guess is it will be close to 50/50, but noise from Tiger fans will make it seem 60/40 LSU.

X = LSU fans
Y = TCU fans
Z = Corporate folks
say
50% = X
30% = Y
20% = Z
Multiply by available seats.

I live in Arlington. A TCU season ticket holder had 10 tickets and I bought 4 from him. Dallas Cowboy season ticket holders were able to buy 8. I was able to get 4 tickets for friends from a Dallas season ticket holder who bought all 8 but kept the remaining 4 and will be neutral at the game. I also work with a LSU alumni and she has 2 tickets. Of the 20 tickets I know of 10 are LSU fans and 4 are neutral.
I also know an ex-TCU football player who doesn't even plan on going to the game.
LSU will be well represented.

I have people I work with, one of whom was a past president of the alumni association at TCU. I asked if they were tailgating and she said, "no... it's not like tailgating at TCU and besides, we're just going to eat up all the food from LSU's tailgating."
We have a nice, friendly bet going. If TCU wins (LOL!!) I have to wear a horned frog hat during the next video conference call between offices.
If LSU wins, she has wear LSU "tattoos" on each cheek and eat two corndogs during the next video conference call!

Which on a small sample size seems to validate my best guess. It also tends to confirm many good seats did not go to LSU or TCU folks first.

Same story here, I know a number of LSU alums show live in the DFW area and they bought tickets through TCU.

TCU alumni is very small. It would've been more in TCU's favor had the game been at Amon Carter like originally planned.

I'm guessing around 60/40 ish, given the size of the two alumni bases. We did fill up nearly 40% of the Rose Bowl which was pretty sweet, and a nice surprise, given the travel distance and the fact that Wisky probably has about as much an advantage in fan base size as y'all do.
Should be a great atmosphere. I was able to make it down to Baton Rouge for a game a couple years ago with some friends and loved it.

Are we talking tcu fan or player attendance?

Does TCU have more than 100,000 fans in their entirety?
Posted on 8/5/13 at 5:24 pm to HubbaBubba
Cowboys Stadium hold about 105,000
So my prediction is
LSU Fans 109,000
TCU 18
This figure does include da teams.

We've got about 82,000 living alumni total. Over the last 10ish years we've converted a lot of Fort Worth locals to the purple side, and usually get alums of other schools who've moved to the DFW to be tshirt fans second to their schools.

All the seats that have a seat license were offered to those season ticket holders first, so you are going to have your good handful of Cowboys season ticket holders there with no real vested interest on either side (which means they'll pull for the hometown heroes, right??? here's to hoping..
)

As a benchmark of the low fan attendance expected from TCU, this quote from Wikipedia regarding Cowboys Stadium:
Okay. See? TCU was ranked #6 in the country and pulled in 40,000 less fans than the average LSU pulled. I still think it'll be 65/35 LSU/TCU.
quote:
September 4, 2010: #6 TCU defeated #24 Oregon State 30–21, before a crowd of 46,138, in a season-opening encounter between ranked teams.

September 3, 2011: #4 LSU defeated #3 Oregon 40–27, before a crowd of 87,711 in the third installment of the Cowboys Classic.

January 7, 2011: In the 75th installment of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, the LSU Tigers by a score of 41–24 defeated the Texas A&M Aggies with an outstanding attendance of 83,514 making it the second largest attendance in Cotton Bowl history.

Meh. This game is pulling much more interest within the TCU fanbase and metroplex tshirt fans so I expect much more than we brought to our games there against Beaver and Mormon.
