I love when people chime in that the AD needs to demand that games be played at night.

We don't let facts get in the way of a good argument on this board. I'm sure Alleva can tell CBS no whenever he wants.

Incomplete, but looking good so far.

He gave the grass crew a one-year ultimatum. Fix it this year or else. If we have bad footing and painted sand again this year, we go artificial for next year.

Another Good Thing: He has kept continuity within the athletic department he kept the staff such as Verge, Bo, Herb, Eddie, and others. That helps with the daily ins and outs of running LSU Athletics.

run, you are a little bit too hung up on the band.

Besides the hire of Trent Johnson, what do you think he has done to improve the athletic department at LSU?

If you are going to give an honest assessment, you have to include the hire of TJ. To give the man a "C" based on what he's done so far is ridiculous. You do realize other people helped make the decision of not bringing the band to Washington?

We'll see, maybe he will readjust his grade to a C+?

"I".....incomplete. Too early to give him a grade, IMO.

I can understand an "I" but I'd love to hear you justify your grade of "C".

I don't even get the "I"

No one is asking you to pass final judgement on the guy. Of course his job is far, far from over. The thread title states give your opinion on the job he's done SO FAR. I guess you give an "I" to sound different from the rest and avoid giving an actual opinion.

Good point. I really just don't understand how you can give the guy a "C"? That to me indicates that he's made a few mistakes and I'd love to hear about them.

maybe some who just didn't like the hire from the start. I was extremely skeptical at first (I wanted the guy from UF)

But honestly you when you knock your very first hire out of the park, handle a pretty devastating storm to the BR area incredibly well, etc. You can't ask for much of a better start than that

Exactly, he realized how much the band meant to some of the LSU fans making the trip and he granted their wish. He could have been some stubborn prick and stuck to the original decision.
