Me too.
It was raining all day before the game. We hid in the building and drank. Someone parked a yellow corvette inside .
RIP that yellow corvette

My 21st birthday fell on the first Thursday of March Madness tourney that year and also happened to be the Fred's crawfish boil...... it was an epic day where all classes were skipped

July 18 of course because no one hates the stupid 7 and 18 number traditions more than me.

11-28. A lot of Arkansas wins, Thanksgiving and duck hunting. Great time of year. Tradition with Arkansas now gone but maybe OK will take that place.

September 2, so there have been several occasions where the season started on my birthday.

Unfortunately, it was the UK at PMAC for the epic collapse by Dale Brown in the early 90s. It was also Mardi Gras that year. I couldn’t fricking believe they had a 2nd half lead of 33 or something and LOST

Mine has a connection that is heartbreaking. On my 26th birthday, January 10, 1980, new LSU football coach Bo Rein died in a plane crash off the Atlantic coast before ever coaching a game at LSU.
What might have been…..

I’ll never forget that. I was only 10 when that happened, but I had just started really getting into the Tigers and was very excited about what he could do. It was just so crazy. I loved the short documentary ESPN did around the day we honored him on the field with his family, the Bo You Don’t Know.

quote:Fun Fact: I’m reasonably confident I remember reading (a long while back) that FDR’s SSN was 000-00-0000 or 000-00-0001 and that Eleanor Roosevelt’s was a single digit after his.
Hey guys let’s all drop our social security numbers too to see if those have any special connection to LSU athletics
I’m too lazy to look it up.

So…mine has to be Freshman year at LSU… October 15, 1988. My 19th birthday and the night I will never forget because it was the Earthquake Game. Pretty fricking fantastic!!!
Very much, a defensive slog fest but I had never seen an explosion of ecstasy like that in my entire young life. I did not come to LSU a massive LSU fan, but I certainly left it so….even after three pretty terrible years of football after my freshman year.
I did get to enjoy the 1991 inaugural national championship for baseball and I enjoyed getting to see Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley ‘hot plate’ Roberts on the court all at the same time!
