Many years ago in Army boot camp, my Company commander had everyone from Texas stand up in front of the Company. He told them he heard 50% of Texans were reported to have hemorrhoids and the other 50% were perfect A-holes. Each one had to tell which category they fell in.

Funny, Louisiana has a lower unemployment rate compared to Texas for May 2009.

Texas 7.1%
Louisiana 6.6%

One of those highbrow sophisticates misspelled inbred. That is rich. I live in Texas, but my heart will stay in the Bayou State. Despite the impression the people on that board give, most people here are just like folks in, yes, Louisiana. Maybe it is a UT fan, alcohol induced phenomenon.

That said, may the Tigers humiliate the Longhorn BB team tonight, provided the "creek don't rise."

not to bright is he/her...if you have those jobs the likely hood you would be able to afford such a trip would be out of the question...

It is apparent that spending a week or so in the Superdome has a lasting impact

May Murphy's Law strike this person...

People from Texas have jobs, so it can be hard to travel mid-week. The coonasses don't have this same limitation.

See first quote and answer...

Anyone from the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, or Florida who actually believes their culture is superior to anyone else's has clearly never left the south.

Where the frick does he think Texas is located and a touch of hypocrisy as well...

I always like to leave the country to go to crazy places like Lousiana and Mexico

Why would he/she have to leave Texas to visit Mexico...hell Mexico is in Texas...

I'm starting to hope every hurricane this season hits Texas with that statement...

I just wonder why Texas has a LSU license plate for there state. Maybe its because LSU fans live in Texas with salary based jobs. I lived in Texas and loved it but the only thing they were good at was beating A&M. I will say that I like A&M even more.

FWIW, I'm one of those "uneducated" LSU graduates that moved to Dallas for a job, as evidentally, they couldn't find anyone here to do it as well.

Honestly can't stand the state and what baffles me the most is trying to figure out why on earth anyone ever settled this area to begin with. There is nothing but crap grass, mesquite trees, and a lil further west, a whole lot of cactus. Its the armpit of the world; a metropolis area consisting of nothing more than cookie cutter repeats of chain retail stores and restaurants every 20 miles.

And what's up with the perpetual smog around Houston? They criticize our state...so ironic...maybe if their educational system was actually worth a shite instead of the hyped garbage that it is ( and this is coming from the Keller area - their pride & joy of an education system ) such that they could afford reruns of Seasame Street they could learn the different between 'better & worse' or 'more & less'. Some of them definitely got it backwards...

Baton Rouge is ranked no. 8 in the nation as far as best economies. Keep telling us on how we don't have jobs. Shut Baton Rouge down and see what happens to gasoline prices.

Austin is an overhyped, overpoliced, circle jerk gravel pit. Keep Austin Weird, just don't step out of line. F Austin, F UT.
