I would argue that, despite being consensus #1 for weeks now, #2-6 have a better chance of winning the NCAA championship format than this team.

How many series has LSU lost this year?

Read the rest of my post.

The NCAAT isn't "who can win 2/3 in a weekend."

If you win 2/3 in the Regional/Omaha, you have to come up with a 3rd win (or possibly the 4th win if you lose game 2).

This is the most biased I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to hear the argument about how USC who has lost two SEC series in a row and Vandy who lost to Bama who we swept has a better chance.

Because apparently the ability to win a weekend series has no correlation to winning in the post season

Ok, then where is your reasoning? I’m curious to see your side of proof. Also, you literally have to win a weekend series just to get to Omaha. So that’s not true as well.

The point should be that LSU is the # college baseball program in America. LSU recruits star HS pitchers and solid transfers only...supposedly.
LSU has supposedly the best pitching coach in college baseball.
LSU walked 5 batters in one inning last night and Aub scored 3 runs on 1 hit.....LSU lost by 2 runs.
LSU has given up 6 walks in one inning and with two of our supposedly 'better' pitchers got no one out in an entire inning.
I would like to hear an explanation of how LSU can be this pitiful on the mound.
Do we realize just how pathetic LSU would be if Skenes did not transfer to LSU...and btw, he was great before he came to LSU.
This is simply inexplicable that pitchers in a program like LSU can not throw the ball over the plate.

Are you saying the consensus #1 team in the nation has no chance to win it all?

I'll say it's not nearly as likely as everyone thinks it is.

LSU will have to play 2 or 3 games in the Regional and Omaha without Skenes.

Here's how we have looked recently:

Game 2 Vs Bama - 8 walks given
Game 3 Vs Bama - 7 walks given

Game 2 Vs Auburn - 7 walks given
Game 3 vs Auburn - 7 walks given in 2 innings

Game 2 vs Kentucky - 5 walks given
Game 3 vs Kentucky - 8 walks given

Tell me that is championship baseball in Omaha.

Good for you? Yeah, we’ve been awful at pitching today. Happens. We’ll be better next week. Want a treat?

The fact that Little takes the mound for this team tells you how terrible our staff is, outside of Skenes!

I have. You claimed number 2-6 have a better chance and never once gave any reasoning behind it. I asked you too and you’re sidetracking. Sounds like BS lol

It's not. When Crews and our other big hitters don't drive in runs with the bases loaded, LSU doesn't have the pitching staff to win it all against other teams that have superior depth in their staffs. LSU will have the best starter and the worst remaining staff in any regional they play in. Only the offense can overcome that and LSU can win. I wouldn't bet on it.

And that's all I'm saying.

LSU needs to score 8+ regularly to win games (it's how they swept Bama), and they haven't been doing it as consistently since the Arkansas series.
