as we were in 2004.

not even close - you were undefeated and didn't get a chance. This is unexcuseable.

In fact, the memory of your being screwed in 04 is why I was not upset about your getting there last year - and winning the NC in great style. You deserved it.

it just sucks because BAMA is in a much better situation than you are....sure, you get to destroy UGA but injuries can happen....

Then you have the whole issue of having to beat BAMA again and that won't be easy.

In your favor is being in Louisiana and putting that D on field turf where they will be even faster.

Auburn in 2004...

I still can't believe and SEC team can go undefeated and get left out. That is the biggest argument against the current BCS system and why we need a +1.

And where was the AP for you guys that year? USC gets a title in 2003 for going undefeated...WTF?

how? They may or may NOT go anywhere. They should be worried about losing to Auburn. In fact, I'm thinking about putting money on Auburn to win that game. No one is talking about it. It's like bama season is already done. They are still beat up from the LSU game, and I think Auburn will make this game pretty close. frick Bama......sorry, just sick of hearing about it

Total disrespect for LSU. The win in tuscaloosa is worthless now....you would have been better off to have lost the game.

I don't agree with that part. It was wonderful to beat them in their house. We are in control of our own destiny as far as the SEC Championship goes and Bama is not. If we win out and happen to meet them and lose (just a hypothetical - I don't think we will), we 'd still be SEC Champs and they'd be 2nd place in the SEC West.

With that said, nobody got screwed like 2004 Auburn. They were awesome that year. Now, USC was incredible, but if anyone could have beaten them, it would have been Auburn. They were awesome on offense and defense. Seeing how the past BCS championship games have gone when an SEC team is in it, Auburn definitely could have won. They were that good.

dude....let me save you some money...don't even consider putting anything on us to beat them. Our team has gotten worse every single week this year.

The only fix for us is to get to the offseason, get a full 85 on the team, and make sure Frazier is ready to run the offense next year.

My prediction for the Ironing Bowl is something like 56-3

Nope. But I guess you're right if we don't count Houston.

USC didn't even go undefeated; they lost to Cal. Then they beat a Michigan team in the Rose Bowl that wouldn't have been able to claim a national title if they had beaten SC.

Edit: But I ain't even mad.

I think Bama got exposed a little in the LSU game, and the GA southern. Don't think that they will just magically stop it the option attack. Bama doesn't have the same type of speed on defensive line that we do. Slam me if you want, but thats just my feel on the game

if i'm wrong, i will gladly eat crow

I would LOVE for you to be right...if AU pulled the upset, I would lose about 100 facebook friends within 3 hours.

Only because the dominoes fell properly.

Goals for the season:
1) Win SEC West
2) Win SEC
3) Play in BCS CG
4) Raise the crystal

Saban loves the process. I do too. If you take care of business, you get to step 1. The system has some ways to skip steps 1 and 2 in order to get to 3 and 4, but I'd rather go the tried and true way.

So far, so good

We both know the media has a love affair with the Gumps. I hope Auburn pulls the upset so every talking head can cry.

Yeah that's why XM 91 sounded more like a bash Alabama witch hunt with the show hosts attacking Alabama as if they had kicked their dog. It was a feeding frenzy of hate on the talk shows yesterday. Don't give me this BS media love fest. All the talk was about how an Okie State loss to an unranked team or a blowout loss by Stanford to Oregon should be overlooked while Alabama's 3 point OT loss to LSU is unforgivable.

LSU is sitting in the cat-bird' seat, if you ask me.

We're 11-0 and ranked #1.

Arky has to come and beat us at our house in order to knock us off. I like that.

Third, by beating Arky we get UGA in the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship.

Win those 2 games and we play in the National Championship game in our Super Dome.

I like the whole thing.

We control our own destiny. Win and we're in.
We're not depending on someone else to lose for us to get a shot.

I hate the "What Ifs" but the best thing for us besides beating Arkansas is for Alabama to Win, as much as I hate for that to happen. If we do,(I can't even say it),l*** to Ark then there is still a very good chance we still wind up #2 in the BCS and play Ga in Atlanta. A win then puts us in the Championship. Listen to Brad Edwards Podcast on ESPN radio.

no one thought the cowboys would lose last week either

a flat bunch of over confident gumps thinking of BCSNC vs war eagles who have pride to play for and nothing to lose

2004 AU shafting is the worst thing that ever happened....Biggest argument for a playoff ever. No comparison but yes we are getting screwed and everyone is still all over Bama and Saban's nuts as usual.
