Because he's a terrible coach. Do you think Brian Kelly(Or Patterson or Harbaugh) in reviewing this game would go, damn that's absurd they fired him. He was a good coach.

No they won't. They'll go I could do better than that easily.

ESPECIALLY when the two seasons following the NC win were BOTH winning seasons and bowl game appearances?

Because we were easily more talented than any number of team we lost to or almost lost to those two years.

People turned a blind eye to Miles team shitting the bed regularly before pulling it out with talent every week, but eventually that shite catches up with you.

Notre Dame got all sentimental with ole goofy arse but lovable Charlie Weiss and look at where it got them. If ND had bit the bullet and hired Urban Myer two years ago they'd be cruising into a MNC game this year. Wake up Champaign!!

I am shocked at the radical change of heart in the LSU fanbase after only one game.

This is not a one game change. Miles has shown a pttern of poor game management and he has personally cost LSU games. He also doesn't seem to be able to get his team to perform at a consistent level and they are mistake prone.

Look, these coaches are big boys and they know the deal. Win or get fired. They have big egos and they know they're only as good as their last big win. Miles has allowed LSU to be be surpassed by Bama and Florida and there are more programs breathing down our backs.

Miles cannot keep the LSU football program at the level it was when it was handed to him, plain and simple. And I can guarantee you that there are guys out there who think they can do it better than him. We cannot wait for the slide to reach the bottom. Take corrective action now.

Miles has run out of Saban's recruits. His recruits are losing games now and the development of these players is not happening anyway. Any current recruit with any sense out all, ought to decommitt and finds a new school after last night's coaching non-performance.

Champagne, you have a point.

I cannot in good conscience defend Miles after that debacle last night.

But the unrealistic ranting on this board notwithstanding, Les Miles will NOT be fired after this season. You are correct that firing a coach who won the NC two years ago would make no one with any ability want to coach here. And yes, it was a legitimate National Championship, despite the pea-brains on this forum claiming it was "luck."

That being said:

We have the best facilities in the nation. We are NOT paying a coach almost 4 million a year to finish 4-4 in the SEC. If this continues next season CLM will be on a very hot seat indeed, if Alleva is any kind of AD.

I think there is a good chance Miles rights the ship next year with a new OC, allowing him to be the super-delegater and CEO head coach.

Miles seems to learn from his mistakes and maybe he can from this one.

I'm as frustrated as anyone, but Miles is NOT being fired so all the ranters with torches on the way to Dr. Frankenstein's house may as well put them down and go home.

That's just being realistic.

UGA: 26-14
Auburn: 23-16
Tenn: 20-19

Ole Miss: 11-28

Regular season games only.

You definitely should demand answers from a guy making $4MM/year.

Outstanding point, dude is getting schalacked in the coaching dept, nobody respects him...he lost his balls and thinks he can skip by because he won a NC...Fact is it was with Saban's players and Saban's Dicipline and a lot of luck, were finding out now that luck dont last forever...

What I can not understand is, after the debacle last night, and all of the other boneheaded stunts Miles has pulled in the past four years, how can anyone in their right mind, still be on the Miles bandwagon?..That is beyond my comprehension...I am sorry...

You Nega-Tigers need to answer these questions before anybody takes your rants seriously.

You are almost certainly right that his MNC inoculates him.

That said, don't delude yourself. He WILL fail and he WILL be fired and when he finally is, we'll all look back and say, "we knew it in 2009.

I predict he's fired in 2011 and that he fricks us up so bad we can't recover until about 2013 at best.

It's crazy. But some think 8 and 4 is good. They need a different board, lol.

This is exactly my concern. When Saban left on his own free will, I don't recall a line of top 10 coaches waiting to interview here and we had great talent and facilities then, too. I think some ranters are a bit delusional on how sexy our HC gig really is. If you fire a guy two years removed from a championship, it becomes even less sexy.

I don't know the right answer here, but I know we're paying $4 million for a coach worth about $500k.
