You can't fire a HC who won the NC two seasons ago.

How can you fire a HC who won the NC two seasons ago? ESPECIALLY when the two seasons following the NC win were BOTH winning seasons and bowl game appearances?
You Nega-Tigers need to answer these questions before anybody takes your rants seriously.
Please speak your mind. You are among friends.

when he backed into it by making coaching mistakes and is now making mistakes but we are losing.

I wanted him fired in 07 after the Arkansas debacle

Let's ask Larry Coker.

Not that LSU wasn't good but the NC was a pure mathematic fluke. We were a two loss team if you recall. This also doesn't excuse the piss poor management that's been happening for the last two years.

(From a different thread)
We were only three plays away from being 7-5 which is amazing considering how much talent we had in '07.
1) If Byrd doesn't catch the bomb against AU
2) If Hester doesn't convert one of those 4th and shorts against UF
3) Chad Jones fumble recovery against Bama
I think Bo Pelini had a lot more to with our success from '05 - '07 than Miles

this is a business,a "what have you done for me NOW?" business. So I'll put the ball in your court, what is he doing for us NOW?

He won't be fired this year, but I do believe he's on the hot seat after yesterday. You can bet your life that boosters and alumni are not happy now.
He'll have a chance to right the ship after he has to fire all of his offensive assistants. If he doesn't succeed next year, then he's done, IMO. I think nothing less than at LEAST an SEC Champ. Game showing will be expected. Otherwise, bye bye.
It's a shame too. It's going to happen when Louisiana has it's most loaded recruiting class in the last 20 years.

dude, give it a rest. 2007 was a fluke.
the decisions he made last night coupled with a 107th offensive rating give justification for being unhappy with where we are going.
the fear is waiting until all progress Saban made is lost and we start from scratch again......while I, myself, don't see this happening I can understand the unrest.
Les needs to shake up several things this offseason......2009 is basically done.

Chad Jones forced the fumble, Curtis Taylor recovered it.

NC in 2007. Winning seasons and bowl games everywhere else.

This will be the common opinion of those looking from a distance. However, there have been alarming signs of his relative incompetence (among top paid) for years. BTW I've been accused, up until last night, of being a staunch supporter of Miles.

Seriously? We are consistently getting owned by coaches in the upper tier of the SEC. Do you actually think Miles can correct this? He has shown the ability to do absolutely squat against equally matched teams.

Ummm...
1) LSU was lucky to back into the MNC two years ago. As I recall, it took two miracle upsets to get us in.
2) When coaches started getting these insane contracts, i.e. $3.8 Million/year, they better put a good product on the field. Money comes with the pressure.
3) No offense to Skip, but Miles was hired by someone who had no business being an AD. He was more of a 'we love this guy, so we are gonna make him AD', AD. Great coach doesn't necessarily equal great AD.
4) I remember back when we fired Dinardo, there were people like you saying we shouldn't fire Gerry D., he got us great facilities and won the Poulan Weedeater Bowl two years ago.
Bottom line, our level of talent at LSU is up with the Bama's and UF's of the SEC. Its a shame to see us get outcoached year after year by coaches with inferior talent and get beat.
/end rant

And again the NC was simply a mathematic fluke or weren't you watching any of the games that year? LSU won and we deserved it for winning but the road travelled to get there was simply a complete stroke of luck and a BCS system that has been broken for years.
