The most troubling part of last night were the times LSU pitchers had 3-0 or 3-1 counts and couldn’t throw a strike. The 3-0 walks are bad because we all know the Auburn hitters are taking all the way.

Even with the pen crapping the bed, Crews going cold, and leaving the bases loaded, LSU was still in it till the end.

That’s the mark of a solid team.

Looking forward to the effort we see today. Should be good.

I thought Floyd, in particular, got hosed on multiple pitches.

Ball 4 to the leadoff batter in the 4th started everything. That was a strike.

When Floyd doesn’t get the close calls he falls apart. Hurd would to up until recently. They just seem to lose the feel for their control and if the ump squeezes them a bit they can’t rebound.

A lack of a 2nd and 3rd starter is gonna cost us big time down the road.

It was a strike the first 3 innings.
Then the bullshite balk after missing auburn balk.
Then the dumbass ump not knowing who he tossed out
Then auburn's bush league icing of Floyd.

Woke up pissed off this morning

He didn’t get several calls in the first three innings and was fine.

I feel like every game this board just complains about the umps. Some college umpires just aren’t that good, I don’t know what else to tell you. Sometimes it helps us, sometimes it doesn’t. Gotta pitch through it.

It’s always the umps/refs vault on this board. Auburn Ps got squeezed by the umps too.

It cant be said enough. Walks are a pitchers worst enemy. It is one thing to walk a guy with two outs but when you walk two guys to open a inning they are most likely going to score at least one and often more.

I have began to wonder if our staff has "Skenes Disorder" where they all want to strike out every batter. MLB pitchers have learned to serve up pitches that will be grounded out or popped up and keep their pitch counts down. I dont remember the last time I saw us execute a double play.

You have to throw strikes. The auburn pitcher that closed the game out threw a bunch of strikes. LSU pitchers did not from the 4th inning on.

We need more reliable pitching. Jay needs to make it a point to get 2 or 3 guys like Skenes from the portal to make sure we don’t have this problem next year.

What about what Skenes is doing makes you think there are 2-3 of him out there anywhere. Let alone 2-3 that will be in the portal?

please name ONE pitcher in college even close to Skenes

do you just wave a magic wand and 2-3 generational pitchers are in college baseball, much less the portal?

Walking a 118 hitter was really the issue. Our pitchers may not be great but Wes does them no favors with his calls.

We should attack more than we do

This is possibly the dumbest thing I’ve read on here in quite some time.

Might as well get a couple more Crews while were at it.
