I agree with the OP. Still hurts like a Mofo though. Gonna take a while to swallow this bitter pill.

No, you're still a nitwit.

As long as Miles is the coach, it's very unlikely that we'll win another NC, unless Saban retires or takes a job in the NFL.
So you're saying that as much as you hate to admit it, in your mind he is better than every other (SEC) coach except Saban? OK, so which other coaches would beat him every time?

There were A LOT of positives from the Bama/LSU game. But there were some negatives as well.
Just as we can't have it both ways, moral victories don't count towards our win/loss record. The coaching staff put us in a great position to win the game AND also employed a defensive scheme that loss us the game.
I have said in a few threads, THE PREVENT DEFENSE was what cost us that game. If we play the scheme we had employed the entire 2nd half until that final drive, Bama does NOT move into FG range AND definitely does not score a TD.
The players left it on the field and every Tiger fan should be proud. The fact that the coaching decided to change to a defensive scheme that has given up TD's the last 2 times it was utilized DOES NOT make any sense when we were only up by a FG.
Bama did not employ a PREVENT D and it would have been more justified if they did. They used what got them to that point.
You can't have it both ways, you can't say we are on par with Bama when they are in position to win their 3rd MNC in 4 yrs and we have not won 1 since 2007.

Give us their schedule from 2011-2013. I'd love to only have to get up for one game a year that really doesn't matter if you lose it.

I could not have explained this any better! Kudos to the author. I'll sum it up as I was sad and depressed at the outcome but overjoyed with the strides we've made this year, all things considered. LSU will be kicking butt for years to come with this team, coaches included. Thanks again.

If we played our normal defense at the end of both halves, the score would have been 17-7 LSU
okay, if you want to play THAT game, "if" Bama hadn't fumbled it at the 5 yard line, "if" Bama had kept the hammer down offensively speaking from the 1st half, "if" Bama's defense had played their normal game, etc
I really didn't see LSU playing a "prevent" on the final drive. They were keeping everything in front of them while applying pressure on the QB.
My point is this: It was a game that could have gone either way and Bama just happened to put together a scoring drive at the end, not allowing LSU the time to answer. Before I'm labeled a troll, I'm not. I am a fan of both teams and have been for years. My youngest daughter had even made the decision to go to LSU before an auto accident took her life during freshman orientation. Please don't do the teams who played in that game an injustice by playing the "if" game. Just my humble opinion...

I read this on 247 this morning from a link on Shea Dixon's Twitter timeline. Great post by Lawge1. This is when I love our fanbase.

Exactly. People like to give hell to Miles for the trick plays. A stupid trick play becomes a brilliant offensive move if it's successful.
