Our best players aren’t taking NIL money.

Skeenes has a NIL deal and is only donating a portion of his money.

And if you don't think as it evolves we won't be using that money to sigh players, then you are delusional.

Well unfortunately they are just getting upgrades. We were one of the first ones to get a new stadium so probably not going to happen for another 10-20 years.

You act like NIL impact is everything for baseball. It’s simply not. It’s useful but it’s just a piece of a program you want leading in every aspect and that includes facilities and fan experience. Period.

The Box just needs a total redo, sadly.

Nah, just replace all the bleachers with chairbacks and take the bullpens out of play.

That’s an ignorant take considering it’s not true in both respects. We weren’t “the first” and plenty of places have had multiple upgrades/improvements the last 15 years when the biggest thing we’ve changed is the scoreboard.

We have the hottest temps and the most rain, yet have the least amount of covered seats. Box needs a remodel.

Gaudy.

Looks like America now, I guess.

Gone are the days of the Polo Grounds.
No class, just sass.

Remember when we all yelled into a baseball at the old Box and then then Skip and the K Lady opened it to release our cheers into the new Box?

That was just Skip being his usual master-marketer self.

Americans are so fireworks in your fricking face air horn WWE jubilation.

Calm down.

Baseball isn’t fake wrestling.

It’s a sportsman’s game.

Yes.

Imagine how loud the box would be with a greater sense of community.

But America now wants new age mullets, gold chains, - all this bullshite flash that is completely unnecessary - instead of community.
Gaudy, which was my first word.

LSU was the first SEC program to build a “modern” stadium. How did they get it so, so wrong?

We did it on the cheap.
That was Bertman.

Skip "Cheaped Out" with Saban and Henry as well.

Outside of "Planets Aligning" in 2019 with Burrow and Brady, the football program is just now starting to recover with a competent HC.

My first serious memory of LSU baseball was when Mike Papajohn spanked a little shot over the McDonalds sign (when it was activated).

This ensured the entire stadium of one free Big Mac, per person.

You better believe that that Big Mac was the greatest hamburger I have and will ever eat.

God Bless Mike Papajohn!

Well I’ve never been.

But because it was in the Bronx, fans were stacked in like rats.

Two tiers above home.

Same as LSU.

But those rats, stacked and sweaty, wore suits.

Cheered heavily for their people. Always gave the opposers one hell of a bad time. Came early. Left late. Lost a few relationships along the way.

Yeah, I’m nostalgic.

Baseball is nostalgic in essence, so I’m not changing my mind.
