Ok first off those aren’t his only options and secondly him not being investigated is the issue. He’s a witness his lawyers aren’t going to let him implicate himself for somebody els’ issue. The man on trial released the tapes, they’re vague and don’t prove a thing. If he had the goods he’dve released them to save himself but all he has are pieced together conversations made to look worse than they are.

You know he’s gonna be asked under oath whether he payed players. Does he take the 5th? Does he deny

He can easily deny it because he never has paid a player....the middle man would be the one who received the payment

His big mistake was talking to the middle man. I thought he would have known better.

Sure it was a hell of an offer. He was willing to assure the parents that he would check on their son every night at 9:30 to make sure he was in for the night. And he promised to call them every night to let them know their son was ok....

He obviously didn’t mention money but if he takes the stand he will be asked what he meant by “strong arse offer”.

A full scholarship with the best tutors and meal plan. And throw in a little scooter to get around campus while here.
And guaranteed playing time/ticket allotment.

Nothing to see here.

I mean, we all know he probably got paid a sum of money. But I see nothing but circumstantial evidence right now. You can deny every charge right now or say it implies something not illegal.

Could say he meant living arrangements, parents availability to games and travel, tutors, scheduling classes for him or anything. These kids are taken care of like you wouldn’t imagine, they’re not treated like student athletes in the 90s or even slightly later. The things they’re given adds up to a lot.

Plausible deniability. Hillary and Obama love this technique.

Maybe Vanderbilt can call a T.O. So the ncaa can tell Will Wade that he has been indefinitely suspended

Anyone else find it really coincidental that Calipari talks up how hard he recruited Javonte Smart and then Pat Forde brings out things implications about Smart's recruitment?

If you want it to look bad, it looks bad. Seems vague as hell to me. I could infer anything about the "offer".

Wade: "Javonte and his mother wanted to make sure that he had the necessary educational resources available to him to make sure he didn't lose his scholarship due to academic ineligibility. Such resources include academic tutors available to student-athletes. The "offer" that was being discussed was a certain amount of guaranteed time per week from these tutors for academic study. Their time is limited since there's only a handful of them available for the entire athletic department."

For instance^^^

A lot of this has to do with the Kings sending a message to Wade and sticking their nose in trying to dig up dirt. Minions like Forde are all too happy to help. Did anyone see his Twitter after the Florida game last night? Forde was fuming mad that LSU won and the very next morning he releases a hit piece on our coach. What a coinkydink.

Conspiracy to commit doesn't require an actual crime. Just the discussing of a crime.

Paying players isn't illegal. This isn't a legal matter.

Conspiracy to "offer" players something that is unknown certainly isn't hard evidence of anything either.

I'll wait this one out. If we have seen everything they have, they have nothing.

Colin Cowherd just lied on his show and said there was a wiretap on the LSU basketball coach lmfao. The media is pure scum, they’re nothing but lazy gossip queens, not a journalist between them.
