Honoring the military members with the players and coaches coming out and shaking their hand is one of my favorite parts of Saturday baseball at the Box.

I think it legit depends on how Hurd's outing goes. Yes, he's got great stuff, great spin rate on his fastball and slider. But he is simply giving up too many baserunners right now. Opponents are hitting like .340 against him or something. That sucks. I'm not giving up on him yet, but y'all shitting on Dutton underscores our need for another high velo RHP in the back of the pen. I know Jay is loyal to Hurd and wants to give him every opportunity to stay in the weekend rotation, but he loved him last year too and wound up making the move.
And Anderson is the only pitcher on staff to start in a true road game this year (Rice and Southeastern). I honestly don't think he'd have any problem throwing him Sunday in Starkville. But I think we all hope Hurd goes out and shoves tomorrow afternoon and makes it moot.

If Doug Thompson cries about the bullpen one more time I'm going to stab him with a fork. The bullpens have been there for 100 years and very few people have ever been injured on them. Doug and Buzzy both had bullpens on the field when they played and amazingly they didn't die. It's a miracle.
