WVU has one sack in three games. One. As in (1). One more than zero.

And they haven't exactly been playing teams with renowned offensive lines.

The only teams with fewer sacks than WVU are BYU, Akron, San Jose State, UAB, and Minnesota.

Lee should have ample time in the passing game.

I wouldn't exactly be confident in Lee having plenty of time. We have such great DEs that teams have constantly been throwing quick passes and screens against us. We do have Bruce Irvin on the team who was 2nd in sacks last year with 14 and he only played on 3rd downs. If Lee takes his time he'll get killed.

Please. You were leading Maryland by several scores, which forced them to revert entirely to a passing game, and you still couldn't get a sack. Only a WVU fan would try to prove the fearsomeness of his pass rush by pointing to an absence of sacks. "See, we only have one sack. That means everyone is afraid of our defensive ends. The fewer sacks we record, the greater the terror. Take that!"

I don't think I have heard one person on ESPN or any other CFB shows ever mention the great DE's for WVU. On the otherhand they mention LSU's entire D-line (including backups) quite a bit.

Thanks for clarifying the number of sacks. However, you lost me on the number of games.

Congrats. Bruce only had 1 assisted tackle against LSU last year. No sacks. He's going against Alex Hurst whose 6'6 340, don't let the size fool you, he's also quick.

Irvin is good, but he'd be the fourth or fifth best DL on our team.

Interesting stats:

Tackles for Loss -

#3 LSU: 30 TFL in 3 games

#56 WVU: 19 TFL in 3 games

Now here is the kicker, TFL allowed:

#35 LSU: 13 TFL allowed in 3 games

#94 West Virginia: 21 TFL allowed in 3 games

That would be because you guys don't pay any attention to anything outside of the SEC.

How many times have you heard them discuss our game this week? I have yet to hear a peep about WVU's vaunted defense.

Hell, they bring up our D-Line during broadcasts of other OOC games. See Cincy/NC State last night
