OK. I'm going to try and look at the bright side of Stoops.
He's been playing against a lot of spread offenses which pretty much every school has had trouble figuring out so, that might contribute to his softer numbers at OK.
Maybe Les is thinking that he wants a DC who has experience dealing with spreads.

If Mike Stoops is hired, I will become so anti-Miles that I will make ICanSeeForMiles, Monsterballads, TigerLee, Peej, TigerInATL and that bunch--look like Beefense and Choctaw.

If he's hired, then either Miles is a complete moron or, and this is worse.......

My concern from the get go wasn't so much that Chavis left cause I don't consider him irreplaceable.
My concern has been the "why" of him leaving. Oh, we've speculated a bunch on here but that's all it is, speculation.
But, you can bet other DCs absolutely know the why and if that why reflects poorly on LSU, Miles, Alleva or some combination thereof, the new hire could be problematic.
