So if it is Mike Stoops, the question is why? Why hire him? Why is he leaving Norman?
Mike Stoops doesn't have a choice in the matter. The fans and media are calling for his job and their OC. The only thing saving the OC is that he was the last QB to win the National Championship for them.
This move would be almost as crazy as hiring a 5-7 head coach, but that's been done before too

I've been pro-Miles since he's been here, but if he hires Mike Stoops I'm done.
If Emmert had focused on "experience recruiting in the south" then no way does he hire the Michigan State coach in 1999. You hire the best all around candidate and trust they will adjust to their surroundings.
We've been around long enough to know, it don't matter who Miles hires, LSU ain't adjusting, and LSU ain't gonna compete for championships despite having arguably the best program base in the country with only 1 significant 1A school in state
Miles is the problem and always will be

Of course but his pay improving had to do with it.

Lol... this is Les Miles we are talking about.
Guy has no idea what he is doing, except on the recruiting trail.

Jimmy D Smith ?
Hearing that Les Miles in Dallas is related to Jalen Mills. Not necessarily related to DC coaching search.

Obviously you havent, LSU has won a total of 3 National Titles in football. Where are the ones between 1958 and 2003? Looks like LSU rarely competes for championships throughout the entire history of the program. Chances are it will remain that way regardless of who is coaching.
