not really a good time to suck
although one positive, and i may be reaching here, but he never let the game get out of control...we were always in shouting distance

i really think the strike zone got to him.. ive never seen him put so many balls right over the plate..

Coleman couldn't get the calls on his low pitches and was forced to throw a little higher when behind in the count...leading to the solos.
Ump was pretty inconsistant, although it paid of for us in extra innings with Ott's breaking pitches

Coleman wasn't bad tonight, he continued to attack them but they were aggressive. Announcers said it best, with heat and wind blowing out they were taking advantage of Coleman's fastball.
Got to give it to him for grinding out 6 innings when heat index was 105 at start of game i believe

OP, you're a freakin' loser man, and you need to STFU. I think Woods was talking to you when he said "sit down bitch".
The kid had what, one loss all season? Everyone has a bad night.
GFY, thanks.

that was our hitting that did that. If we had not put the bat on the ball we would have been down 6-0 and IMHO that is pretty out of control

He just left too many balls up. Simple as that. He was good at not letting many get on base so there were always none on when the ball flew out.

I didn't like the pitch calling, personally. Threw way too many hard stuff. Didn't change speeds nearly enough and paid for it several times. They were sitting on the fastball/sinker completely.

I agree Coleman obviously wasn't sharp tonight. But in his defence that ump was awful. His strike zone was very high and early on he wasn't giving anything outside which forced Coleman to pitch high and over the middle a.k.a. The home run zone. Of course the ump changed his mind later

The booth was right on it this game Herisher even said he was throwing too many fastballs that he needed to start throwing his slider more. Every homerun was a fastball tonight

That is some weird logic you got there. Yea, if you don't score runs you get shutout... Not sure that scoring 4 runs in 8 innings is our offense being responsible for "not letting things get out of control."
6 runs allowed in 6 innings in college baseball against a great team when you can't locate your fastball well is solid work.
