It does appear that LSU WR's are being taught (or permitted) to let the ball hit their bodies and pads instead of catching the ball with their hands.

Most of Jerry Sullivan's time has been in the pros from what I can see.

He's obviously very highly regarded, but his expertise is in teaching pros to master their craft.

There's a different skill set involved in teaching college athletes the fundamentals. Some coaches, though very accomplished, are not suited for teaching raw athletes.

More likely (IMO) all the "no hands" college WR's got weeded out long before draft day.

Sullivan spent 20 years in the college game. The football is still the same as it was then.

We dont really need a coach anyway, we need a pitching machine that they have never used.

Regardless of Sullivan's background, these WR's are dropping balls at an alarming rate. They are also a passive bunch when the ball is in the air. They seem to have a "whatever" attitude when a DB has a shot at a pick.

Sorry, but a total "no confidence" vote from me on the WR coaching (and I was one of their many defenders at the start of the season). They are getting pathetic results. Time to give the next guys an opportunity.

So far as I am concerned the WR production has been a total bust. Too many drops. Not fighting for contested balls, poor routes. Go down the list. That will kill an offense as good as anything else. Again, to me this is a question of COACHING or lack thereof.
