Alex Adams stats (ESPN)
Sometimes these transfer stories work out for the former Tigers. He only had a single catch in each of his first two seasons at LSU.

2022 Stats at Akron
63 Reception
855 Yards
9 TD
13.6 Avg.
80 Yard Long

Glad it worked out. He was a last-minute replacement, but IIRC he was blazing fast...

He had the foresight not to leave LSU for Georgia but for Akron. A place he could flourish at.

I always wondered why he choose Akron considering he's from Mississippi. He apparently made the right choice.

He was previously committed to ms st early on whose HC was Joe Moorehead at the time. Moorehead is now the HC at Akron.

Of the players that transferred out last year listed on 247, he's one of 4 players that did well at other schools.

Palmer (Neb), Adams (Akron), McGlothern (Ark), Landon Jackson (Ark)

5 didn't find a D1 team to take them: Soni Fonua, Deion Smith, Nate Harris, Navonteque Strong, Eric Taylor (JUCO).

The remaining 8 barely played, didn't meet expectations, and/or didn't help their draft status.

Koy Moore, Eli Ricks, Max Johnson, Devonta Lee, Josh White, Pig Cage, Corey Kiner, and Joe Evans.

Forgot about strong. He was highly rated juco guy but was a non factor here.

I really wanted that dude to stay. He gave us some good snaps in a reserve role last year.

I kinda understood him leaving given how the depth chart was shaping up and that he probably didn't exactly fit a 3-4 (though neither did a few of our guys who actually played TBH). Turns out he probably would've played had he stayed.

Kiner leaving made zero sense. Dude would have had the lion share of carries over our walk-on RB
