UT players were far from classy tonight.

I agree....watching college baseball makes you see why America fell in love with the sport so many years ago....money always fricks it up

Pete Rose always played the game with emotion and even Pete let the money screw him in the end.

Skipping around 3rd base after a homer?

I just thought the guy was gay...what a douchebag for not being gay and just trying to rub it in. I hope Texas loses every game next season...

This.

When Matty Ott got the strikeout to end the 10th (IIRC) and he jumped up and did the fist pump, the thought NEVER crossed my mind that he was being an A-hole. First thing I thought, through the pain mind you, was THAT's why I love this deal. I think both of these teams have sincere respect for each other. Just the opinion of one guy who's followed both teams closely this year.

At first I thought he was cramping, or came around bag wrong then I was it again and was like WTF he skipped.

comparing a fist pump after a big K to curtain calls and skipping in the 3rd inning for solo HR's is a little off base.

Well put. However, I wouldn't call Austin Wood's shite-talking "perceived". ESPN showed him in slow motion after the inning-ending DP in the 7th, and you could clearly read his lips as he said "Go home, bitch." That's not simply him showing emotion, that's his lack of class coming through.

Huge difference between Ott pumping his fists toward his own dugout and Wood talking shite and using expletives towards the other team.

Yes a fist pump is the equivalent of yelling "go home bitch". Good grief.

Saw the game with a bunch of Horns fans tonight. They were bad as well. Lots of tobacco chewing, toothless, hairy backed foul mouthed slobs - and their husbands weren't any better

Having been a huge fan of both teams for most of my life, I think UT and LSU are likely the 2 classiest organizations in all of college sports. From the AD's all the way down to the athletes, you would be hard pressed to find a better group of guys.

The fist pumping, skipping around the bases, curtain calls and other displays of emotion are part of what make the game fun for the players and the fans.
