Sorry if Germans, I thought like most people on this board that Donte Starks was just a failed marijuana test. Guess we should have all known it was worse considering how many times it was just a “coaches” decision to hold Divinity out.

I hop Starks can clear everything up, carry a load unregistered gun in your backpack means one thing and one thing only! If you feel the need as a 19year old college football player to have to carry a loaded hand gun in your backpack, you are either hanging out with the wrong people or going to the wrong places “and in reality probably both” if you feel you have to be strapped all the time.

Kids ruining golden opportunities just so sad to see!

Guns don’t have to be registered in Louisiana. There is no such thing.

He did not have a concealed carry permit. That is his crime. Open carrying is perfectly legal in Louisiana just as long as you are older than 17 and not a felon. So if he put the gun on his hip in the open he is fine.

Not if you're inside in the AC. But then you couldn't legally ride dirty.

Oh and to get a concealed carry permit is not difficult at all. Takes a few hours on Saturday and the permit is good for years. My wife has only shot a gun a few times in her life and she passed the shooting portion with ease.

Where should I go to register my gun? I have at least a dozen unregistered guns. Does that mean I am hanging out with the wrong people or going to the wrong places? This is a nothing charge that will go away in 6 weeks. He won't even miss a spring practice.

You don't have to register your guns in Louisiana. He may have broken a concealed carry law unless he was leaving a private building and walking to his car to go home.

OP is a dumbass.

There is no such thing as gun registration in Louisiana.

It is perfectly normal to carry a gun daily in all your activities, many, many people do it.

The fact that you have to buy a permit from the government to exercise your natural right to defend yourself that is suppose to be protected by the government is fricking stupid.

this is correct and the law.
but having a gun in your backpack is similar to not having the gun at all.
if he has a reason to carry, have it ready at all times. make good choices.

Having a gun on his person literally saved the life of one of the best players from LSU’s 2019 team.

We don’t know all the details (at least I don’t). I’ll wait for the justice system and coaches to sort it out before drawing conclusions.

Not everyone accused of a crime is guilty of committing one. Maybe in this instance he is, but context matters, and I haven’t seen enough of it to make a determination one way or another.
