Tigers will still finish dead last if South Carolina beats either Tennessee on Tuesday or Ole Miss in Oxford next Saturday. But what real difference does it make if LSU finishes 15th or 16th? Somehow the devil infiltrated the LSU lockerroom this season, and as a result this season has been a huge disappointment.

This was a tournament team with healthy Reed and DJ. Even with healthy DJ they win a few more games. And Texas Tech had been one of the biggest NIL spenders in the NCAA the last couple of years so I would say their bench is much better than ours. That being said the issue with this team has been inconsistency. You play AL close then get rolled by OK. You play Tennessee close on the road without DJ and McKinnon then get blown out by Miss St. The margin is very thin for this team as far as injuries but there were games they should have won at home. Anyone who thinks this team is not a tournament team with healthy Reed and DJ are just haters but the reality is I don’t think McMahon can recover from where he is. It’s time for a change and hopefully they have Wade waiting in the wings. If not it’s going to be another crap shoot as far as hiring another coach.

Alt, the reason is simple. These posters that support McMahon DO NOT want LSU basketball to succeed.

I've given my top 3 reasons for this mindset several times on this board, and am more convinced than ever that I'm right.

As UNARGUABLY bad as this clown is, I don't know how they can bring themselves to actually type out their posts.defending him.

The only thing you just said in that post that is correct is we need Wade back.

I'm positive if Wade had this same roster and same set of circumstances that our resident funeral home director has had over the 4 years, we'd be in the tournament at least 3 of the 4 years, and maybe all 4.

You see, Wade is adaptable. Give him the rules that we all play by, and he'll thrive. Portal, no portal, NIL, it DOESN'T MATTER. He's a winner.

But spuff, it wouldn't have even come to that with Wade here. He would have had SIGNIFICANTLY better players, team, culture, and program than this arse hat has had.

It is what he does. EVERYWHERE he goes.

Poor Matt. The only coach that has to deal with injuries. Can’t catch a break.

Again you aren’t being intellectually honest you are being emotionally biased. The one thing I think Wade has over McMahon is evaluating talent. But even he has had issues at NCST with a $12 million budget and a preseason POY candidate. No guarantee he overcomes the loss of Reed and DJ with this team. I do agree there are games he still should have won but to say with healthy Reed and DJ this is not a tournament team is emotional stupidity.

It's not just overcoming injuries but more about who is injured. NCST beat UNC by 20. UNC was without 2 of their top scorers so yeah it's more about who was injured and everyone knows that DJ was the key to this team. You lost scoring and your player that makes everyone around him better. And you lose one of your most talented experienced bigs that can hit the 3 which opens up the lane and can take his man off the dribble as well as help on the press. This isn't about whether Mcmahon is a better coach than Wade. I'm not defending Mcmahon because I believe there were games he still should have won despite the injuries but again with a healthy Reed and DJ I believe thus team finishes in the top 8-10 of the league.

LSU got lit up last night by a 5’9 white boy from Dale, Oklahoma who came off the bench. We got schooled by basically a talented walk-on.

Wish the McMen could come up with an excuse for this level of ineptitude.
